The Shiloh Inn is a very basic place to stay. Our room had satisfactory beds with a tv and a decent sized bathroom with surprisingly good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower/tub. Towels were fluffy. However, the only provisions in the bathroom were soap, shampoo and a hair dryer, so you have to bring your own...

I checked into the Shilo Inn after leaving the Extended Stay Beaverton and am quite happy with the overall experience. The staff is friendly and professional and though the overall property is older it is still comfortable. The breakfast may not be the best however it is consistent.

Still no TV guide of shows and movies, only channel number and affiliation, ABC, NBC etc. Bathtub had mold in it, clock radio was broken, toilet leaks and would fill at 747 decibel level, and the worst yet...... they went to a buffet breakfast and everything is "C O L D ", eggs, tater-tots, gravy, hockey puck biscuits "Hot?" cakes....

We were shocked at how expensive Portland hotels were this past summer but were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Sprawling property is a throw back to the old days with a cigar bar that faintly smells in the lobby & an inaccessible (3 steps) restaurant. It has a new section that we didn't investigate but also has a comfortable...

I called around looking for a hotel with adjoining rooms. you know where there is a door that connects the two rooms. I have also stayed at this property before and knew where it located, and in a good location and I called and asked the front desk. The told me yes they had adjoining rooms and transferred me to...

What are charming, amazing, friendly little place this is. The staff here are very friendly, very helpful and also very happy. My room was spacious and clean. It was serviced daily. We've stayed here 5 times, most recently in early September. Over those visits we've stayed in 3 very different types of rooms in terms of quality. I'm guessing Shilo has 100+ rooms. They are divided into 4 separate buildings. Many rooms in the old buildings are run down and things don't work. Some rooms in the older buildings, though, are...

I stayed in 2 rooms on Thursday night the 8th, checking out on the 9th. My parents room was okay (330). I was in 234. To start I know that the hotel was being remodeled. I did not expect perfection. I knew the furniture, carpets, and such would be old. What I did not expect is the fridge not to...

The hotel itself is a bit worn, as is the restaurant. But it's clean, the staff is great, and the location is terrific. Try to find something in Portland for under $100 -- with free parking!! -- and you'll be stumped. (Admittedly, the "great location" really applies only if you have a car. If you're relying on public transportation, SW...
