Very quiet location, easy access to the beach and just a 4 minute drive back into Manzanita. We stayed in the larger of the two rooms that had the adjoining living room and it was a great place to relax, read and watch a movie. Short access to the beach, too! It was great for just the one night we...

My boyfriend and I had a great time at the Zen B&B in Manzanita. There is so much to do close to the B&B and you can walk to the beach from the house. The breakfasts were super tasty and our room was very nice. Great vacation getaway!

This was our first trip to the Oregon Coast and we could not have found a better place to stay! It was so quiet and peaceful. I loved the quick walk to the beautiful beaches. Our breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were so gracious. We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms, but being able to use the...

We always use an extensive amount of time in planning our accommodations when we travel. The preferred choice has to do with silence, space and situation. We found it at the Zen Garden B&B. Situated at the end of town on a dead end street facing to the South a sea of pines from the local State Park, and a...

Dear Globetrotter 1051, Thank you for your kind review. It was very pleasant having you both to stay here and we are happy to hear that you like the peaceful situation and the wind in the pine trees. We like that also. It was most enjoyable conversing with you and hope you are having a wonderful summer. If you ever...

This was a return trip to Manzanita and the Zen Garden for us. It was just as lovely as the first time. We chose the Zen Garden for it's proximity to the state park, where friends were camping. It was a short walk to the park, and beach access is excellent. Our stay was for 4 nights - breakfast each...

My husband and I recently visited Zen Garden B&B for two nights. Mrs. Smigel was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Her culinary skills are great. We definitely looked forward to her home made breakfasts in the morning. The beach entrance is at the end of the road and the coast line is absolutely stunning. We will definitely visit again! Thanks...

My husband and I planned a last minute get away and were lucky to find 3 nights vacancy at this lovely home. Mr. and Mrs. Smigel have shown great attention to detail in decorating, adding numerous thoughtful touches. There is an extensive library, a large living room (in the Hiroshige suite), adequate bathroom, and charming bedroom (decorated in blue and...

The room was neat and clean. It had a cozy feel that gave it a personal welcome touch. The breakfast was timely and excellent. The fresh produce and care in preparation was deeply appreciated. The site was central to beach hiking and towns along the coast. It had free wifi which came in handy since the TV only played DVDs....

My wife I spent three wonderful nights at the Zen Garden. The house is on the far south end of town, with the State Park and the beach only steps away. The Hiroshigi suite is very nicely furnished and comes complete with a vast array of books to peruse & a huge flat screen tv. It's a short walk to the beach in a quiet area of town. However, it is on the bottom floor with the owner's home above and beginning at 6:45 every morning you can hear every step...

Dear travelerD5102CI, Thank you for your very kind review. I am very glad you enjoyed it here. I do understand that it is not totally quiet; it is a house not an hotel built with soundproofing. But hopefully there was enough quiet here, no traffic, noisy people or adjacent businesses to detract from the peace. There should have been no...

“We stayed in the smaller room, I bet the larger room would have been heaven! It helped that there is an enclosed area off the B&B rooms that was great for us to do our computer work and have wine and cheese (be sure and try Tillamook cheese and Nehalem wine - both are excellent!)”
