The best thing about this hotel is it's downtown location, within walking distance of Pioneer Square, public transit and the vibrant Pearl District. It's also a little less expensive than similar hotels in its class downtown. That's one reason we booked it, as well as our membership in the Marriott loyalty program. Aside from that, it's a bland, generic, business-friendly...

Thank you for such an honest review. It helps all of us at Marriott to know what is on our guests a mind and to find out what you value the most. This is how we make positive changes along the way so thank you again.

We enjoyed our weekend stay here and would like to complement the staff for being so congenial and showing us such genuine hospitality. From this hotel's location, you may walk to all the major attractions, whether that be the riverfront or the Pearl district. There is no need to rent a car as we took the Red Line Max Light...

The hotel very central place, near the main square Pioneer Courthouse, comes with a stylish lobby. It has a good restaurant on the top floor, a small but complete gym floor 4. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean. Feature safes. The WiFi is not free, but you know in the USA plus the hotel is good the more...

My husband and I spent 3 days in Portland on a mini-vacay. The Marriott City Centre was an excellent choice in terms of exploring the city's downtown / Pearl district. Not to mention you can take the train from the airport -> downtown and the hotel is two block walk from the stop. Location wise: convenient. The room was clean...

I wanted to thank you for this review. I appreciate the fact that you were clear on what you enjoyed about your stay and what went less than perfect for you as well. I will definitely let the appropriate person know about your room not being cleaned. If you ever run in to any issues no matter where you stay...

What a great place to stay in Portland. Great views of the river. Super friendly staff all around. 5 block walk to the rail system. Awesome updated rooms with comfy beds and large TVs. My room even had a balcony overlooking the river. Indoor pool and hot tub were great. My only complaint would be the charge for internet service...

This was the first time i have stayed at the Portland Marriott City Center. We usually stay at the waterfront Marriott but found this location to be great right in the heart of downtown Portland. You are within easy walking distance to the light rail, shopping and great restaurants. The hotel itself is very nice. Typical of most downtown hotels...

A little odd for a downtown Marriott. But to be expected in Portland! Great location for exploring by foot. We ate in the restaurant one evening as we were travelling with a small child and that was easier than going out. It was great for a hotel dining experience. Good value.

We stayed in town for our wedding- and used this hotel for our out of town guests, as well as where we stayed the night of our wedding. First of all, they managed to get us checked in way ahead of schedule so we'd have plenty of time to get ready for rehearsal. On Friday evening the bridesmaids and I...

The rooms are SUPER noisy--you can hear folks next door like they are sitting in your room. That and the lobby is really quirky and it's impossible to catch a cab from the hotel. No idea why but frustrating none the less. Lesson learned for me!!

I am sorry to hear that you had such an awkward time with us. It sounds like you were staying with us over the weekend. During the busier seasons Portland does tend to come alive and things can get a bit loud on occasion. During rush hour it can be difficult to catch a cab right away but if you...

We recently stayed here on a trip through Portland and it was very nice. It's located downtown and it's fairly close to everything. The rooms are large and very comfortable - particularly the beds. I really have no complaints...you get what you paid for...it's just disappointing that you need to pay extra for parking. But that's typical of most hotels...

Thank you for all the kind words. We try our best to make all of our guests as happy as possible. We are completely aware that it costs quite a bit to vacation in the city. But in the end it is worth it to be located in the heart of any city that you decide to visit.
