Very reasonable prices, close to groceries and a nearby restaurant (walking distance) Close to public transit. Clean rooms, simple decor, accooadating office staff. I have stayed here several times and would definitely go back. 15 minutes from the aiport.

It was a very basic room, but it was huge. Two double beds, and a twin bed in the same room. Beds were comfy and I slept well. I have stayed in worse and paid much more. We checked in at midnight and woke the manager up, she wasn't too happy with us. Sorry about that!

Room was ready before requested, and just as expected. Neat, clean and perfect base camp for our visit. Very friendly folks running the place and we had a blast being so close to the light rail. We had a king sized bed, which I was surprised to get, and I liked having coffee we could measure out rather than packs...

We were pleasantly surprised by how perfect this motel worked out for us during our stay. We didn't need anything fancy and just wanted to be close to our son's home, so this seemed to fit. The room was very clean; the whole property is newly painted and updated. The staff is nice and helpful. The close proximity to the...

We spent 2 nights here while in Portland. Our room was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodations are basic--no frills here--but the price is good. Being on the transit line was a plus since we didn't want to drive in Portland. The nearby grocery has many good food options. Ask for a room off the street.

Circa 1950 the motel has charm and despite its age, it has been lovingly cared for. The gentleman and his family (who have owned it since 1978) are lovely. While a bit dated, it is impeccably clean with all the basic necessities. The location is very convenient as the yellow line is only about 2 blocks away, a straight shot...

Just an average older Motel. The rooms smelled fresh and were very clean , no smoke smell in the non smoking room.. Check in staff was friendly enough, although previous staff had programmed my key card with the wrong room and it took a bit of a hassle to check in. It is right on the Interstate MAX line ,...

The Viking is clean, well- organized and friendly. The owner has been running it as a family business since the 70's. Although it is right on the transportation line, it was quiet and peaceful at night. We will stay there again anytime we are in N E Portland visiting.

The Viking is a delightful family owned place. The staff are very attentive to the needs of their guests. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished and modern. There is a microwave and mini fridge for convenience. There is also a flat screen television with cable for your viewing pleasure. The bed are wonderfully comfortable. It is located across from the...

Wanted an inexpensive, clean motel in North Portland. Found such at the Viking Motel. Good size room, very clean, coffeemaker, free wi-fi, friendly service. Very accommodating for our request for hairdryer and extra coffee. One block from Max. Two blocks from New Seasons market. All rooms non-smoking, but very nice covered patio on grounds for those who do smoke. Would...
