Have always enjoyed staying at the Paramount. Can easily walk to all sorts of places in the neighborhood. Always super clean and good selection of room types. The hotel staff for guests have always treated me very well and take great care of you.

This hotel, which is about as centrally located as you can get in downtown Portland, is a real gem. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. To a person, the staff is polite, considerate, and friendly. A wonderful place to stay--and my regular stop for business

The Paramount is a very classy place. The room was spacious and modern. The bed extremely comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly, telling us where to park "on the cheap" and where to dine the next morning.

You know when you see an ad , but think too good to be true? Believe it when it comes to the Portland Paramount. So easy to make a reservation and request what you would like. From the moment I handed my car over to the Valet until the moment I got my car back (1 week later),

I've stayed here twice in the past couple years, once with my husband for a weekend get-away, and once for business. Both stays were equally wonderful. The front desk staff and bell staff were attentive and eager to make sure we were well taken care of. The rooms were well

Hi ednabear7, Thank you for your question. The guest who posted the review about bugs stayed in room 1101 and the photos she sent us were of carpet beetles and have been treated. Hotels live in fear of bed bugs and because we do, we train our cleaning staff and managers to always be on the lookout for signs of them. I am able to personally inspect most rooms where we have received complaints and have not found a bed bug in a room in the last few years. When we get a complaint, we quarantine the room and start a very thorough process of searching. If nothing is found, all linens and pillows are put in the dryers as an extra precaution as the heat will kill anything and then we bring in a pest control company to re-inspect and then treat the room as an additional precaution. If something is found, we bring in a company which will essentially put all the room contents in a hot box and superheat it for a day. If you have concerns, you should always address them with the hotel immediately. It is equally important to us as I’m sure it is to you that we are bug free. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have further concerns. Sincerely, Norm Hwa General Manager 503.276.1764

Take the train! Cab/Uber/Lyft all the way downtown from the airport is going to be a very expensive ride, I would agree probably $30-50. MAX Red Line leaves right from the airport (just outside the south end of baggage claim) and gets you downtown in 35 minutes. Get off at the Galleria/SW 10th station and you are literally two short Portland blocks (about 500 feet) from the Paramount. Fare is $2.50 for adults aged 18-64, half that for seniors and minors. Make sure to buy your ticket on the platform before you board. Machines take both cash and cards.
