We've spent seven weeks travelling in the USA, and my partner and I agree that - unfortunately - this was the low point. We stayed in the economy motel rooms, which were the most basic of all the motels we stayed in the USA - needing a refit, with a very noisy fridge, the beds not so comfortable. Mainly the...

We are terribly sorry that Sean did not enjoy his meal with us. He had two of our MOST popular menu items so it is very unusual. Our Rib Eye steaks are known for their wonderful flavor (Dusted with a pepper mixture) and tender texture, so I don't know what happened. There were no mentions to our server the night...

We had a one-night stay at this B&B as we came down from Crater Lake and prepared to head into northern CA. I chose the Zane Grey room, and it was a room in which he had stayed but not western themed. The room was small (the hotel was built as a stage coach stop for the 2 day journey...

The Prospect Hotel has hosted many famous people. Beautifully restored, tons of neat antiques.. The spacious dining rooms served delicious food. It has views on three side of their beautiful landscape, right up to the monkey cage. Very expensive, but if money is no problem, worth it, enjoy. The downside was the rooms behind the main. No photos or info,...

The front desk staff (including the dog) was friendly, and helpful in pointing out a couple of short nearby walking trails that lead to surprisingly spectacular views. The motel rooms are old and not well apportioned for the price, but the location, 40 miles from remote Crater Lake, is a plus. The real highlight is the dining room, a small...

We booked here because we couldn't get in at Crater Lake when we tried to book 6 months ago. Prospect Hotel sells itself as as historic and it is - the town and the hotel are a step back in time. Nice comfortable room (Zane Gray) - compact but built in 1800's so you'd expect that. Dining room was good...

This hotel is quaint and still holds memories of another era. We stayed in the Pearson room which was very comfortable. Lovely dining room and the area is picturesque. Close enough to Crater Lake with a lovely scenic drive on the way.

We stayed here for a few nights to explore crater lake, which is about an hour away, making the place ideal for daily excursions. Unfortunately we've had some of the worst nights of our trip here. We stayed in the motel portion and even though the rooms as well as bathrooms were spacious, the quality of the furniture was extremely...

All of the motel rooms have their own heating systems so the guests can control the temperature themselves. Our bedding has the typical sheet, blanket and then a thick comforter. With all of those and the additional Blanket in the room one should not get cold. Haven't had anyone complain about it before. Even in the dead of winter when...

Just spent 2 days here while exploring the Crater Lake area. Charming old home dating to the late 19th century. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast outstanding (as was dinner). Room was very small, only drawback. An excellent place for exploring the entire area including Crater Lake and the Rogue River along with its tributaries.

Close to waterfalls and the cascade gorge this old roadside hotel oozes charm. Wonderful front porch was a great dining option on a warm September night. Loved the service in the restaurant. Be advised that with the charms comes the oldness. Rooms are small and dated. Baths are tight. Sinks are in the bedrooms. the stairs are steep.

Crater Lake has few places to stay that are nearby. We decided to stay at this hotel based on its website's "historic" aspect, but, being two adults not in a couple, booked one of the motel rooms -- advertised as with kitchenette and two separate bedrooms -- rather than rooms in the hotel itself. This worked reasonably well, since we...
