The Sandy Cove Inn is a family-owned boutique motel located two blocks from the beach and promenade in historic Seaside, Oregon. We are on the quiet end of town but still very close to the town’s attractions, and we combine the personal touch with modern conveniences like free WiFi and some pet-friendly rooms. We have everything from basic rooms to vacation rentals, and with both a market and restaurant just across the street, we are the perfect place for a fun, peaceful stay on the Oregon Coast. We even have themed rooms like the Wave Room with surf art, a wave mural and an actual surfboard; there’s also a 1940s Room, a Monopoly Room, and a Boat Room, among several others. We’re one of the last family-owned motels in town, and that means a lot to us. We will share some of our favorite activities and places to eat with you, and we can’t wait to make you feel at home in our home.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!

If you're looking for a comfortable, homey, quiet place to stay in Seaside, this is it!
I've stayed at numerous family ran hotels and I can say, by far, this was one of the most memorable stays I've had.

The inn is located ideally the southern end of the Prom (the boardwalk) far enough away from the crowds on the beach, but still only a short 5 minute walk to the beach. This was perfect for me, since I prefer "off the beaten path" locations, away from lots of tourists.

I knew I would have a lovely stay as soon as I was greeted by Andreea at the front desk. She was very welcoming, offered a quick check-inn process and offered beach towels, board games, wine glasses, hot coffee and anything else I could need during my stay. She asked me to wait for just a few minutes while she went to make sure my room was ready and clean. Such great service!
After a long day of travel, it was refreshing to have someone who was so personable and friendly to greet me upon arriving. Mulţumesc! :)

After I was given my room key (an actual KEY...I love old-school like that!), I went to my room and discovered the lamps were already turned on, the heat set so it wasn't too cold and was immediately impressed by how cozy and comfortable everything was.

The bed was warm and comfortable, plenty of HOT water for the shower, the room was uniquely decorated and you could tell the family who runs this hotel takes the time to take care of their property. There was even a small table with chairs for sitting and looking out the window. My only suggestion is to perhaps look into larger screen TV's. The one in my room was quite small, but since I don't watch a lot of TV, it wasn't an issue for me.

Being located away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of town, and surrounded by full-time resident's homes and neighborhoods, I slept soundly and felt safe during my stay.

Check out was a breeze and I can't wait to stay here again! I think I've found my home away from home when I overnight in Seaside. Thank you Annie, Andreea, and everyone for a wonderful stay!

All the best,
Alex

I needed a mind break, to take care of 'me', from my stressful job and all of our current national issues. I found this inn randomly and thought it looked interesting and fun, so I made a night before reservation for the following two nights. What a find it was!! Each room is decorated differently to add to the whimsy of this "old school" roadside inn, without all the fuss of "luxury, corporate owned hotels". I was first amazed that I was given real keys for my room, not key cards. I was in the Garden Room, and being greeted with all of the adorable special touches instantly released my stress. Just what I needed. I loved all of it! The bathroom was recently renovated and there was a flat screen tv. The room had exactly what I needed for my getaway, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and local owners on site to help me out with things to do, and if I needed any additional items to make my stay perfect. Annie was such a sweet woman and her true love for the Inn is what makes it! She doesn't forget any detail for each room. We had a great chat and she truly loves what she does and wants all her customers to feel like special guests in "her home".

If you are looking for a "not so average", privately owned eclectic motel, near the beach but away from the excitement of downtown Seaside, this is for you. Check out the pictures and you will see what I am talking about. I will be back.

We really enjoyed staying in this old-timey motel. The rooms were super clean and updated with a cute theme in each room. We weren't in the room a ton but it was comfortable and the location was nice to be a bit outside of the main Seaside crowds but close enough to walk or drive to anywhere we needed. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful.

I recently stayed at the Inn in the Game Room. The attention to every detail- from customer service, to check-in, effective communication, and cleanliness of property- sets this hotel apart from the others. The location is perfect: it's close to a market, restaurant, and beach, but away from crowds. The manager and staff go out of their way to assist in any way and have literally thought of everything for a comfortable stay. They truly care about their guests and take pride in their property. Stay here for a truly personal experience and away from large, chain hotels.

These guys are the BEST! They are exactly what this world needs more of. The building is older, but so well kept you wouldn't know it! It's not a big, fancy resort. Instead it's a homey, comfortable place to stay! The location is perfect because it's not downtown. It's just far enough away from the noise and traffic to be perfectly peaceful! The little market and restaurant/bar across the street could not be more convenient! Very short walk to the beach and the Prom! Just down the street is the perfect place to park and watch the surfers or walk the beach! But even all of those things do not add up to the wonderful people that own and run this Mom and Pop business. Friendly to the point that they become like family and willing to make your stay unforgettable. They have a variety of offerings from small rooms to multi-family accommodations and each is equally charming and comfortable so there's something for everyone!

This is by far one of the best Airbnb in Seaside and pictures don’t do it justice. So much to say but will just summarize by saying EVERYTHING was perfect. If you are looking for a gorgeous, roomier space for a large group, look no further; THIS is IT.
Check-in was easy thanks to Damon (front office). On our last day, we met Ms.Annie (owner)! She was very sweet and genuine. Our family felt welcome starting with the intentional and tasteful decor in the house. We are already planning our next trip!
Book it!

On a family trip to Portland and the Mount Hood area, we wanted one night away on the coast as a couple. We wanted to at least be close to the beach and found the Sandy Cove Inn online as an affordable, one night option.

The room is quaint, comfortable, and very well-kept. But what made our trip to Seaside, was the experience at check-in. Not only were we given great ideas and recommendations for what to check out in the area, but they also gave us a wagon with firewood left over from another guest, and told us how we could make a fire on the beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset. We have always wanted to do that, and they gave us everything we needed for an incredible evening on the beach.

Thank you Sandy Cove Inn!

The wall mural and decor was a fun flashback and the room was clean. However, if you need a hairdryer (or anything else most hotel rooms stock), you need to get that from the front desk during business hours. We also had to leave the window wide open to let the room air out as it had an awful smell. Not sure if they sprayed some kind of insect repellent or if the paint was fresh or what. Not good for security, being that we were out all day but there was no way we could have stayed in the room otherwise.

Really, it's just a basic old hotel room with some pretty lipstick and no amenities. If you want to shop, be where things are happening or go to Cannon Beach you will need a car for sure.

Pricing quoted and charged by owner was higher than that on booking.com so be sure to check around for pricing before you book.

We stayed in the apartment suite which was artistically decorated, very clean, and just lovely. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. Sitting room was delightful and we liked the room so much we made time to spend there just to enjoy the atmosphere. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner on the way out who was very nice and friendly and made sure we were happy with our stay. I would definitely recommend this place. So much better than a generic cookie cutter boring room.

We stayed in the wonderful Sandy Cove Inn, and the owners were so welcoming and kind.

Our room was spacious, super clean, and had everything you would need for a relaxing stay. We met both owners separately who were incredibly helpful, offering advice, tips about where to go and Eat in Seaside, and any additional help we might need.

We would love to go back and would be delighted to recommend!

Answer from Steve D
The Sandy Cove Inn is a quick walk away from the beach, about 3 minutes walking. And yes there are two access points where Avenue U intersects with the beach area. The Oregon coast is a simple walk to the west but there is also a stairway ( 2 stairs) to the historic Seaside promenade walk. This route takes you to the downtown area of Seaside, about a ten minute walk. Our guest rooms do not have an ocean view save one, the Jacuzzi suite has a bistro balcony and you can see the beach from there.

Hi! We don't serve food here at the Sandy Cove Inn but we do have a great list of restaurant recommendations available at the front desk. And I know that several of our top picks have gluten free options.
