My husband and I stayed in the Springhouse and enjoyed it thoroughly. The room included a romantic four-poster bed, beautiful view from sliding doors, desk, and working fireplace. Wine is available for purchase from the inn which is most convenient. We found the breakfast menu broad, tasty, and inclusive of local products. The main house is well-appointed and true its... As an avid TripAdvisor user, I read pretty much all of the reviews for this inn before booking, so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect--and, frankly, your opinion of this B&B likely does come down to expectations. If you're expecting the Ritz, yes, you will be disappointed. But this isn't the Ritz, it's a B&B in... More

We stayed in the Springhouse and loved the room! The fireplace was cozy, and the view out our back sliding door was beautiful. The inn keepers were very helpful and accommodating, making suggestions for dinner based on our likes/dislikes, offering to make dinner reservations, and ordering admission tickets to Longwood Gardens if wanted. Before booking a reservation, I read the... More

It is very hard for me to write this review because we really, really wanted to love this inn. We stayed at another Select Registry Inn this past August in Ogunquit, Maine and it was spectacular. However, from the moment we were shown our suite, Carriage House #1 we were disappointed. Upon entering the door stuck on the torn weatherstripping.... More

It is equally hard for us to write this reply. Although a review like this might make us question why we became innkeepers, we take comfort in knowing that of the 264 reviews on Trip Advisor as we write this reply, only 8 (including this one) have been negative. We will try to not write a novella in response, but will... More

We stayed in 2 different rooms, one in the Main House and one in the Carriage House. Both rooms were very comfortable, clean and had a private terrace. Even though our visit was near the end of the growing season, the grounds still looked very nice. Breakfast each day was very good. The owners are very helpful with dinner recommendations,... More

We were looking for a place to stay for our Anniversary and came across the Fairville Inn. We were going to Longwood Gardens for the Light Show at night and wanted to stay close to the area. This was a very charming place. The staff was wonderful and so was the breakfast!

Nice room (Carriage House), comfy bed and beautiful view of landscaped gardens. The location and ambiance could hardly be improved. The owners and all staff were friendly, outgoing and gracious. Just a few minor elements prevented me from giving a five star rating. The TV was so small that it could not be viewed from the bed, The WiFi was... More

Very comfortable inn centrally located in the Brandywine Valley minutes away from Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and the Brandywine River Museum among many other historic attractions. Staff is very personable and knowledgeable and owners Rick and Laura were gracious hosts. Full breakfast included.

Totally classy experience with great staff willing to accomodate every request, excellent breakfasts with different offerings each of our three mornings. We were a large group and I hope we didn't inconvenience other guests with our enthusiamsas we enjoyed ourselves in the public rooms. Impeccable service and terrific furnishings.

My wife and I spent a few days at the Inn over the Columbus Day weekend. The Inn strikes just the right balance in so many ways. Rick and and Laura (the owners) are soothingly attentive without being hovering. The breakfasts, cooked by Rick, are varied and delicious. The Inn itself is within easy reach to really interesting places to... More
