This hotel had a fair proportion of bad reviews so we were a little dubious about going there. But the price was so good so we took a chance. And I'm glad we did. It's true the hotel has seen better days: the ice machine on our floor had been taken out (but it was not too far to another...

arrived to this hotel and was very disappointed from its maintenance. walls are peeling, carpets are dirty, bath tub and sinks were not clean enough, pillow (if you can call it like that) had black stains on it. breakfast minimal. not worth the price paid. AVOID.

We checked into our room after one of the staff members walked us around trying to find it. Fortunately we hadn't grabbed our luggage yet. We looked at it and accepted. After bringing up everything from our car and starting to unpack, we found that the heater didn't work. The manager immediately switched us to an upgraded room with a...

This place was really not bad at all. While a little quirky it was clean and the room was huge. With a few details that need attention this could be great. The shower area needed new grout and the cups for coffee were not wrapped in plastic. Front desk good

Stayed overnight on my way back from upstate PA and won't regret. It had everything that was needed for a short and stay and was exactly what it is advertised as. Yes, there are deficiencies as would be expected for any hotel that offers up rooms at that price, but if you're paying $80 and still expecting a 3+-star experience...

I stayed here as part of a wedding party. The room was poorly cleaned and we did not have enough towels. The shower randomly alternated between scalding and frigid. no pen and paper at the room desk. A freight train rumbled by outside our window all night. Generally speaking the entire facility is tired and run down.

This property was barely a 2-star let alone 3-star as rated on Hotwire. A closed pool, old/tired facility, uneven concrete walks and parking lot potholes, substandard breakfast, antiquated 70's bathroom fixtures with dirty grout and chipped fixtures, and a broken hair dryer indicates a lower star rating and adversely affected our stay experience. While the price was in the value...

Nichols Village seems to be a property that had a face lift, but did not quite make it. The place is modern and clean. Signage is very odd since rooms 147 and 154 are on different floors. Our first room had an exhaust fan that sounded like a space alien was caught in it. We were moved -- courteously and...

Ok, so to be clear up front, everything in our room worked, our beds were comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. This is why we came and we were satisfied on that front. Breakfast was fair, not as bad as some guests whined, but for this type of hotel, it is exactly what you pay for. But (and...

Thank you for sharing your feedback and experience, while our hotel is over 45 years old and not a modern, slick branded hotel, we have always acknowledged the unique charm and quaintness of our property, which you may be referring to as "odd". Our hotel is not a box and we are 4 unique buildings with an immense amount of...

We paid just under $60 to stay here for one night as part of a road trip. We checked in around 1am and the desk clerk was nice enough though the directions he gave us to our room made no sense and we still don't know how our room numbered in the 100-199 range but was on the third floor....
