PLEASE NOTE - Riverside Holiday Village (previously Purn Holiday Park) was formerly taken over by West Country Park Homes Ltd in 2015. Since 2015 we have invested a lot of time and money in updating all of the Parks’ facilities including the clubhouse, toilet and shower block, convenience shop, adventure play area and arcade. We have also replaced all of our hire-fleet with brand new units. Riverside Holiday Village is a family-friendly Park located just a few minutes’ drive from the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. We offer a variety of accommodation options including seasonal touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes (with electric hook-ups), holiday home hire (static caravans and lodges) and holiday home ownership. Additional Park facilities include an indoor heated pool and seasonal fishing. Our Clubhouse is the perfect place to enjoy a freshly prepared meal or a relaxing drink, with live entertainment in the Clubhouse every weekend.

So impressed with Riverside holiday village after a short stay this summer! It's by far the nicest caravan sites we have stayed on as a family. The facilities are extremely clean and well maintained. The pool is relatively small but numbers are well managed so it never feels too crowded and is big enough for the kids to enjoy swimming and jumping in. The restaurant was a huge surprise to us as you don't always expect the best food on a caravan site but the chefs clearly make the food from scratch, such as homemade pies, lasagne and curries. The food is reasonably priced considering it is freshly made and not the usual microwave stuff that other places serve. We enjoyed dinner there a few times whereas we often eat off-site when we have been to other holiday parks. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, to holiday guests like us, as well as residents. It is a small site and feels very safe, so the children can happily play in the park area right next to the bar/restaurant in sight of parents. It's a nice location just outside of Weston-Super-Mare, so close enough to access everything but a bit nearer the lovely sand dune beaches. We will definitely return at some point in the future!

Just returned from a week during half term, from Riverside.
Stayed in a Purn Gold (KF12) which was comfortable. The caravan itself was around four years old and could do with a little TLC. Whilst very clean, some odd jobs would have been seen to. Not all the light worked, cupboards could do with tightened hinges and toilet seats easily came apart. That said, was not an issue really. I like how access to the van is from a tarmac surface, so not treading mud into the carpet.
A nice welcome basket on arrival, containing tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits, condiments, tea towel, sponge, washing up liquid...even a roll of foil. We enjoyed the pool and had access all day. The bar had a good range of drinks. Happy hoour is 5 - 7 on weeknights. Was left a little disappointed that there was no published childrens entertainment. Ithink a small notice went up half way through the week. It should have been on a big board in reception. The only downside to the site itself is that it is on a very busy main road. We were three caravans deep from the road..it was very loud. I probably would not return for this reason.

Totally impressed from the first to the last minute of our stay here. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome, do anything for you, and genuinely wanting to make sure you had a brilliant holiday!
The caravan was immaculately clean as was the whole place really - clubhouse, swimming pool, grounds. The cleaners must work so hard - especially during one of the hottest weeks of the year! In uncertain times at the moment, you were definitely made to feel safe and able to relax.
It was our first time here but definitely won’t be our last and would very highly recommend to couples or families who are looking for a relaxing holiday near the sea. Brilliant job to every member of staff at Riverside and thankyou for a great holiday!

Where do I start apart from the word fantastic!!
Was down here the end of February Tiling the Newley renovated swimming pool area.
The bar staff are brilliant especially the clubhouse managers lee and Shelly who literally go above and beyond for anything you need, fantastic people aswell.
The food. Well where do I start. Ahmed and Zack the 2 chefs are top quality. The food was to die for, literally some of the best food I have ever eaten and the service is second to none aswell. Absoloubtly brilliant. Lovely Breakfast and lunch daily and a fantastic evening meal every night. Along with a few perfectly poured pints aswell.

The caravan site itself is beautiful aswell, completely renovated over the last few years and what a difference it has made, it just keeps getting better and better. All the staff are really nice and friendly people aswell.

So on that note a massive massive thank you to Shaun the boss man, Lee, Shelly, Ahmed, Zack and the rest of the staff at riverside. Look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

Came here in July and we enjoyed it and come back again in September. Staff are fantastic and friendly, safe to say we will be coming back again soon.

Lee is a good host and makes you feel welcome aswell as all the other staff do aswell.

The static caravan we stayed in was very clean and tidy so would recommend people to stay here at riverside holiday village.

On the whole we like it very much here

If you want to relax, in a warm friendly environment, a welcome with a smile and value for money food, try the Riverside holiday village. Even with Covid restrictions in place, it doesn't feel stuffy.
Nightly bingo and live entertainment at the weekend, with Lee and Shelley doing a fantastic job hosting the venue.

Monday feast, whole chicken on the table that you carve yourself, with all the veggies for just £20 for a family of four. There are other choices too, Lasagna with salad , garlic bread or 2x large pizza with sides.
Don't miss out on the breakfast club and other evening meal deals.

Recently refurbished and extended to include a sports bar, its a great social space, cleaned to a very high standard, with a fitting ethos from the team. Go the extra mile.

Dropped my car off to have some work done pub behind were fully booked so I took a stroll across the road to the Club House of the Holiday village which is open to the Public.
Normally when I eat out I either complain or vow never to go back .
But what a pleasant experience, to my surprise a chef with a pleasant personality who had heard of Customer Service, He said we don't open for 15 minutes but I'll take your order now and crack on with it .
Simple Home cooked food is the hardest to get right ,but the attention to detail was second to none .
Credit where Credit is due I even left him a tip a financial one not the usual verbal one
On my way out I spoke to a very nice Receptionist who said his name was Ryan .
I have had a lot to do with Holiday parks Through my Businesses over the years I am also a qualified & experienced Chef .
Due to the present situation cv19 only a small menu but executed to perfection I will be back .
Every member of staff I saw on my visit seemed happy to be there and very pleasant that makes all the difference
Thank you for making my day.

Another excellent stay at Riverside holiday Village, always a pleasure to see staff you no, Customer service is superb cant fault it from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We arrived late afternoon, got the keys straightaway, and stayed in Amber 31 this time round. It was the exact same layout as the previous static we stayed in. Absolutely spotless inside, We paid for 7 days of WiFi, which was £15 can't fault it, really. We had great signal/service all week. It's truly a great place to bring your kids and family, 2 good size parks for the kids to play in, it has a heated indoor pool which was a big hit with my twin boys. It also has a little splash pool for the little ones. The food inside the bar was good, no problems were reasonable priced and of a good quality. Can't wait to return later this year. Thanks again, Riverside.

Booked this place as it was close to were our friends lived in Somerset and central for visiting places like Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury. There are also lots of beaches on your front door.

The site itself is immaculate. All caravan areas are well maintained and the lawn areas are so well kept and green!
The caravan itself was amazing and one of the best we have stayed in so far and we have stayed in a few over the years. We even had a box of Dairy milk chocolates, 2 little bottles of Prosecco and 2 cans of cider left for us when we arrived. It was such a lovely surprise.
We had an issue with our oven which meant that we were unable to use the oven, so we were issued with a food pass for all our meals for the week.
The food on-site was delicious especially the Sunday Carvery.

There is a small shop on site but was limited but you could purchase your essentials and there are plenty of food stores not too far away.

The site also had a lovely little fishing lake where you can fish and our son caught 3 Bream.

There is also a well maintained swimming pool which the kids lived in. Although you do have to supervise as no lifeguards.

The entrainment was good and had different variations of bingo on each evening. Which was fun. There is other kids activities on during the day which our kids were to old for ( 9 & 12) and did not participate in these.

There was also a great area where we could talk the dog out on her daily walks. There is an eating area outside where you can take your dogs but dogs are not allowed indoors.

I would thoroughly recommend this lovely site to anyone who wants a break away from all the hustle and bustle and just wants to relax.

All the staff are so friendly and the site is a credit to them all.

Thank you for a lovely stay 😃

Just got back from a 7 night stay- this must be one of the cleanest and best kept parks we've stayed at. Full credit to the small crew of staff who look after the grounds and facilities- they're spotless! The park's in a great location with beautiful grounds bordering the river Axe for evening walks and spectacular sunsets. Nice and quiet area but good links to surrounding towns/ villages. Weston S Mare only a few minutes away and Brean, Burnham on sea, Clevedon etc. only a little further. Cheddar gorge within about 25 minutes and well worth a visit for the views and caves. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

All you do is get a form from reception when you turn up fill out the form I think it’s just a disclaimer so if you’ve got any medical conditions or anything like that once that’s done you can go swimming and I believe it’s in the morning its adults only and then it’s open to the rest of the site One more thing make sure you go to the bingo in the evening it is a great laugh I hope that helps
