This place is awful. I would have looked for another hotel room somewhere else but it was near a sick relatives home. Everything about this hotel is old, including the storm door and old fashioned door key on a fob like you see in old movies. The room was tiny. Furniture looked as if it came from the Goodwill. There... More

Unless you're desperate, I would look for something else. The "air conditioning" was automatic (as in controlled by the motel). It hardly cooled the room. It's on a very busy street with lots of loud trucks, cars, motorcycles. A train nearby. You could hear everything. Fairly clean but rugs were very worn. Flat pillows,no shampoo, just soap. Overall old, dingy... More

Stayed here on biking trip on GAP. $69 for two in a dingy cramped dated room. NO Thermostat in room. AC barely functioning. Threadbare towels. Tiny TV. Boasts internet but only available in unwelcoming lobby and you have to pry code from owners. Long way from trail and then there is no place to eat when you get there. If... More

This red-brick motel is easily accessible; park by your room and unload your luggage. The décor is vintage 1950s, wood-paneling, but comfortable and clean. The bathroom is pink fixtures with lime-green tile. If you were going to film a movie, the only thing that your would need to remove is the very small flat-screen TV--about one foot by two, so... The place is a little older but we were on a bicycle ride of the Great Allegheny Passage and the location was good. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was a great diner next door for lunch and breakfast that closes at 3 pm. There were other food choices in the area. I'm not... More

I stayed at the Melody as an overnight on a recent trip along the Great Allegheny Passage bike route. As such, I'll also provide info of use to fellow bikers looking to do the same. Yes, this motel is a time-warp from the 1950s-1960s. But, in general, the room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and I had an excellent night's... More

The room was spotless, the bedding fresh and inviting, the pillows comfortable. Nice TV for a basic motel room. The ceramic tile all over the bathroom looked as if they scrub it with a toothbrush daily. I got a kick out of the odd yellowish green but inviting bathtub, sink and toilet and the fact that the motel owner found... More

Location to local businesses attractions is good . There is a Walmart across the highway . This is an old motel with smaller rooms and bathrooms , but rooms are clean . We have stayed here at least a half dozen times .

Fourth time and still the same. Reasonable, well maintained, clean, quiet, and comfortable, but no amenities whatsoever. The only drawback is its location 1+ mile up a hill on a high traffic road with a shoulder that gets rougher each time we bike it. But then you expect motels to be on highways where the cars are.

Riding the Great Allegheny Passage, I stayed overnight at the Melody Motor Lodge located on Rte 119 between Connellsville and Uniontown, PA. The motel was clean but very basic and dated (1970s style - or earlier). The motel room was dark and dingy. The owners were friendly and prices were reasonable. This is a basic accommodation if you want an... More
