I wish I could give a 15 star rating. We were treated like royalty by the most accommodating hosts. The room & bathroom so clean; towels & linens soft & fresh; the breakfast beyond wildest expectations...prepared to our request and absolutely scrumptious. You will not be disappointed. This will be our first choice to stay each time we are in...

This was a great find! The family who runs the B&B are very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The circa 1850's house is a gem and is beautifully appointed. I reserved the Queen suite which featured two Queen sized beds in two rooms, a standalone bathtub, and a shower. everything was perfect, and the breakfast was scrumptious! The locale is in...

I was looking for accommodations in the area and took up my usual search on an online travel planning website when this property was included as an option. I generally don't consider B and Bs as an option because I am socially anxious and they tend to be too "cozy," but I'm trying to live a more adventurous life, so...

The wonderful hosts, Joti and Richard along with their cool kids, made our stay in Holidaysburg one of the best ever. This B&B is located in a wonderful town that is central to many awesome attractions. Being from hostile South Florida, this town was a wake-up call. Refreshing and exciting, the areas around this location are full of welcoming, warm...

We stayed in the George Fox room on the third floor (stairs only). The room is pleasant, large, and the bed was good. A view of Chimney Rocks across the valley was an extra attraction. The bathroom was a bit quirky in that it meandered from the bedroom, but was also large, with a separate shower and antique tub. and...

I stayed in the Thomas More room for two nights and was pleasantly surprised! Charles Dickens would not have called this in any way bleak. The Victorian room was sumptuously decorated with high ceilings and a comfortable bed. It had a private bath, plenty of towels, robes, with complementary fruit basket and bottled water. The room was air conditioned and...

We really enjoyed having Beth in our home. By the way, her Dickensian references aren't exactly out-of-the-blue. Google "Dickensian poor house Airbnb" to be clued in. Readers of that listing who have a sense of adventure (and, usually, an irony meter and a triple-digit IQ) get a particularly good deal at our place. it's most often available on weekdays when...

My husband and I recently stayed in this Bed and Breakfast inn. It was wonderful. We stayed in the Thomas More Room. Lovely room with a private bath. Well furnished, robes hanging in the closet, air conditioner, extremely comfy bed! There are no tvs, however, there is free wifi. Breakfast was incredible! Fresh fruit bowl, steel cut oats perfectly cooked,...

After working on renovations in our own home all day, we arrived at this magnificent old house exhausted and cranky. We were immediately treated to a full tea setting with a huge selection of teas, nuts and fruit as the hosts brought our bags upstairs. The Zebra Suite was bright, clean and inviting, with crisp linens and sumptuous bathrobes. Free...

Very odd place, caters to only certain types of people, not very friendly. Place looks more like an old, dusty museum instead of a place to stay, would not do so. I spoke with the owner, was not impressed.

We assume that this review will soon be removed by Tripadvisor, as the writer never stayed with us, never saw any room, never met us or any other guests, and only experience our property's rear workshop by illegally accessing the service entrance when we were not at home. She had demanded early weekday check in at 12 noon (we open...

We were welcomed like we were family! Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and many choices were offered. Steel cut oatmeal with blueberries was first. Organic eggs were offered, cooked anyway you wanted. I chose an omelet, with spinach, mushrooms, pepper, cheese and I loved it! Little extras were arranged on the table, cheese, fruit, etc....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This elegant Second Empire residence is full of nooks & crannies to explore. There are six bedrooms to choose from, each with a private full bathroom. There is a large dining room, a parlour and an even larger "great room", with 12-foot pier mirrors and a baby grand piano. The common areas, appointed with period furniture, are ideal for receptions and recitals. There is free high-speed WiFi, but there are no televisions anywhere on the property. There are also books, newspapers and periodicals. We offer the finest breakfast in the area, made with mostly organic ingredients. Breakfast includes organic eggs, turkey bacon, hot and cold cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juices, teas and very good quality, European strength coffee. This historic residence is home to an extensive collection of vintage folk instruments, most of which are available for guests to play. ... more   less
