I stayed with my two grandchildren for a week and we enjoyed the visit very much. The surroundings are excellent, the huts are charming and seing baboons, warthogs and klipspringers on the lodge was so nice. The gamedriver we had on most gamedrives was excellent. And all staffmembers did ther uttermost to make our stay a good experience. The description...

You don't have to go far to see the reserves resident animals, they crossed our paths on the way up to the lodge and we saw the baby giraffe on two occasions - beautiful! The views are stunning, from the lodge, the outdoor shower, the room and my favourite from the loo. (we did find a very interesting snake in...

We did not stay there but we went there for the elephant interaction. I am not exactly in favour of this type of experience as I like to see the animals in their natural environment and love to see them free. This was, however, a pleasant surprise. The rangers really have a good relationship with the elephant who is keen...

Great place to stay. Would recommend to others all day long. Rooms are really unique and adds to the African experience. Isolated location makes for a real quiet and peaceful rest. Pools for kids, staff are really helpful.

A place that all the family loved. Great elephant experience with a nice ranger. We saw the elephants very close ... The rooms are original with a great view. The view from the restaurant is also wonderfull. We will certainly come back.

Thank you for your feedback. The reason why the chalet ran out of hot water is, because the camp operates on gas geysers which can run out without any notification. I am glad that your booking details and hot water was sorted out straight away.

Kwa Madala is a very unique experience in the sense that the “Rock Camp” is essentially a group of little “villas” designed to look like big boulders. You have a balcony off the back of your room and your shower is outside with no separate screen (i.e. you’re totally naked looking out in the bush!) It’s actually a pretty cool...

Thank you for your response. We are sorry for the inconvenience of the hot water, because of the gas geysers it can run out without any notification. The hot water is checked before clients arrive, but unfortunately it can be the last of the gas left that heated up the water. Yes, we do not believe in television in the...

The "chalets" at Manyatta Rock Camp are little domes colored like rocks and indeed blend in very well with the rounded, monolithic rocks on the hilltop they inhabit. The staff is incredible. Chris ("Big Boy") drove us around for a week in Kruger, the Panorama drive to the Blyde River Canyon and waterfalls, and, of course, all over Kwa Madwala...

Very disappointing indeed we won't be back. The food was terrible and when our friend went for a second helping as he was hungry he was told that more guests where coming. This lodge long longer deserves its 4 star rating it is very disappointing that a lodge that was once run so professionally with such high standards in all...

I am very sorry that you felt the food was not good and that the service is not 4 star anymore. If I look at the other reviews it is really unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We usually let our clients all dish up for a first helping and then they are welcome to come...
