After spending just over a month in Nicaragua (Granada, Ometepe & the San Juan Del Sur/Rivas region) I have to say that Lug's was definitely my favorite spot to visit on our journey. The country has plenty to offer for the adventure traveler but this spot is surely one of Nicaragua's real hidden (not for long) gems.  We were sent...

Justin, Robert and bar/kitchen staff were all good people, we stopped in on our day trip south of San Juan del Sur. Smoothies, fresh juice, drinks and fun was had by all in our party of 6. Happy fun people. We hope to get back for an over nighter in the near future.

Sounds like the other reviewer had a rough go of it, but I can't imagine that's the norm for Lug's Place. Justin is a super nice kid who, along with his uncle, has really made something for himself with Lug's. It's a beautiful spot on a beautiful beach. I can't speak to the lodging options (I've always stayed at the...

Lug's Place is one of only three hotels on an incredibly beautiful stretch of Pacific coast. The bay is wonderful, the sea is good for swimming and there are lots of gorgeous, deserted coves to explore by foot. Perfect, right? Well, it could have been. To cut an extremely long story short, we went to Lug's Place for five nights...
