My family and I stayed at this report for 4 nights in May of 2018. Overall i was very disappointed with the place. The view is really great but for the price one would expect much better amenities and cleanliness. This resort is OLD and it shows. It is in desperate needs of an

The villa we got was gorgeous I side and out with a beautiful water view. Arriving late at night I’m sad I didn’t get to enjoy the 1 night stay more. For breakfast I went to their restaurant and ordered some fresh seafood. The fish and octopus were yummy! Not only that but the

The pool area, food and service were excellent! Very friendly and nice staff! My complain is really with the room. Regular price was $245 + tax but they were nice enough to give us a discount down to $175 a night for a 2 bed suite as SJDS is empty due to the political tension

Considering the $220/night price tag, this hotel could use some updates. The rooms are spacious and clean, with good A/C units, but the bathrooms are sadly outdated (toilet seat stuck, garbage bin ancient). You also need to climb hundreds of steps every day, because the property

Hello MichaelMichell NJ: The drive time to the nearest airport is 1 hour drive, at Costa Esmeralda Airport, located in Rivas, (new direct flights for instant access: Atlanta / Baltimore / Calgary / Chicago / Dallas / Fort Lauderdale / Houston / Los Angeles / Miami / Minneapolis / Montreal / Newark / New York / Toronto). And yes, we are located 4 blocks away from the beach, a bay in San Juan del Sur.

The villas are set up on the hillside and you could walk to the villas close to the front desk. It it is a steep incline for the villas along the upper ridge and we took the shuttle up the hill (and walked down the hill). The resort is about 6 blocks from the beach and east to walk to the front gate yet just past the front gate it gets very steep (our economy rental car needed a running start to make it up the entrance:). As I recall the food was about the price of applebees or o'charles in USD. More expensive than anywhere else in SJDS we ate.

"Always ask for ocean view. Note that there are many stairs!"
"Ask for a casa/room closer to the reception area if you plan to go to the pool and/or town daily."
"Stay in the front of the property, wind noise Windows banging all night long no drapes to block the morning sunlight"
"Get a Casita close to the main office or restaurant if you intend to walk"
