We stopped by on a cruise shore day. The small hotel looked very nice. Very good location...and great word of mouth from talikng to some guests. We sat and talked with the owner, Ralph, and some guests. Ralph arranged for some water and ice. He then insisted that he wanted to show us the town...and we got a wonderful tour...

We very much enjoyed staying at Park Avenue Villas with its large upper deck, great for watching the beautiful sunsets over the ocean and for socializing with other guests. We had lots of fun getting to know new friends. The staff is a group of efficient, lovely people. The hotel is built around a central pool that is a welcome...

We stayed here while my wife recovered from surgery in Managua. The single rooms are on the small side but the grand suites are amazing. Classic rectangle layout with 2 floors, rooms on 3 sides a wonderful pool in the centre, and a social balcony overlooking the bay in San Juan Del Sur. Truely a world class view with spectacular...

Close to the soft sand beach, near restaurants but up a hill so less noise and traffic even during peak holiday time. Free wi-fi, an indoor pool, microwave, oven, dishes, utensils makes this ideal for eating in.

Very uncomfortable beds. Dear god it was impossible to sleep. I preferred the small wicker sofa. San Juan del sur can be quite noisy at night- but someone spent the entire evening setting off fireworks right outside of our room. A man at the front desk was happy to arrange a van to transport us to Granada through a company...

Nice hotel and caring managment, however I cannot book this hotel as a local professional tour operator because they won´t purchase a generator. By my calculator, once they loose ( or refund ) a 100 bookings, a USD 10 000 will look like a steal.

I went on an exciting sailing trip the other day, a trip that I will always remember. We left the Park Avenue Villas Hotel and took a panga out into the harbor where we boarded their sailboat NO BAD DAYS. We sailed up to Playa Blanca with skipper Ralph Hewitt at the helm. My buddy Tom brought his captain’s license...
