Fantastic olive and wine estate high in the Tuscan Hills with four characterful self catered apartments Very typical, great views, gardens and pool. Overall, a super Tuscan retreat whether for a family or for couples and a good base from which to explore Florence, Siena and other places of interest. Very relaxing, very beautiful.

Our family have just returned home after 14 wonderful days at this amazing and beautiful place. We already miss it and hope to go back next summer. It is located just 35 km south of Firenze and also close to San Giminagno and Siena which makes it very convenient for day trips. The owner and people taking care of the... More

This place is perfect! A little heaven in toscany! The only thing that has to improve is the wifi that wasn't available all of the time and the hot water that sometimes we had to wait for. Beside that the host is very kind and friendly and the appartments are decorated in a very stylish way, and it's the perfect... More

Wow, where to start! We were part of a group that stayed here and it was a perfect spot for day trips to Florence, Venice and other beautiful Italian cities. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully landscaped and the views are postcard worthy. We had gorgeous sunrises and spectacular sunsets! My only complaint is we had such a full itinerary... More

I took a group to La Poggiolaia for the third time and this time was as great as the others. It remains a Chamber of Commerce type ad for Toscana. The two apartments were comfortable and quaint. The Tuscan countryside is simply amazing. The towers of San Gimignano are clearly visible on a clear day, especially at sunrise. Just a... More

Paola and Sylvia made our stay truly memorable and special. The estate and guest houses are fabulous and the views every morning and evening were spectacular. La Poggiolaia is a tuscan retreat with unspeakable beauty. My wife and I spent two weeks at La Poggiolaia with my parents and brother. It was a fantastic stay. La Poggiolaia is a phenomenally quiet location with breathaking views of vineyards, olive groves and San Gimignano. La Capano has everything you could want. A fully outfitted kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 4... More

“All the villas have similar amenities so I would say they are about equal. There is one set of rooms that are attached to the "main" area so depending if you want a more secluded stay you might want to avoid those or if you want the convenience of being near the most people you might want to choose those.”
