We really enjoyed our stay at Gomersal Hall Park. After 5 months of lockdown we were not sure how things would work staying in a hotel. Everything went perfectly, with temperatures taken at reception desk and hand sanitisers at many convenient places. We had booked afternoon tea online both days in the italian restaurant Massimo, our table was labelled and all set out for tea and sandwiches and cakes. This was delicious, with copious amounts of tea. Our room was lovely and spacious with separate area for TV watching, the remote was not working but reception gave us some new batteries. Our evening meals were also booked online in Massimo both our evening meals were superb with a good choice of starters and main meals. The fillet steak I had was huge and succulent, I gave some to my husband.
All the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Michelle and Katy.
The area around the hotel has so many places to visit. We visited Hebden Bridge and Oakwell Hall. We will definitely return to the hotel and area.

We stayed here this weekend 17th Sept. the hotel restaurant is beautiful and staff were pleasant. The spa area is nice however the rest of the hotel is tired and dated and some parts of the room not clean. (Walls) and the floors were disturbingly creaky.

The food in the restaurant is very nice.
The only disappointment is the room I would say wasn’t cheap for the quality and spa facilities are not included. We had to pay £40 for an upgrade. We asked for a robe and slippers this was not included for the price which was disappointing. We used the facilities for 1.5 hours. The outdoor hot tub is beautiful but the sauna is 58 degrees which is not hot for a sauna. The spa had a smell of bad drains which was a shame. Some aromatherapy oils would go along way.

We returned the next morning to use the spa for half an hour before we went home and the receptionist advised we couldn’t as the £40 payment was only for one day for 4 hours. This was never explained to us and had it been we wouldn’t of bothered. The lovely lady today did let us use it before we went which was good. There is a towel shortage at the hotel so you have to get towels from the room. We returned to our room This morning and the fire alarm went off so there maybe an issue there. (On other reviews).

Overall the staff are lovely, place fairly clean, food nice & parts of the hotel and grounds. (Apart from our view which was facing a skip). The breakfast wasn’t great there was not much variety & the eggs seemed powdered however the food we ate at lunch was lovely. With a few points addresses and attention to detail this could be a nice place. I wouldn’t say £170 inc. spa was not value for money here. I never got a response to my email before hand to do something special for my husband birthday so just assumed there was no added extras.

Thanks for having us anyways.

We stayed 1 night in the hotel and were impressed. The Covid protocols were well thought out and extensive including taking your temperature on arrival and again when you used the spa. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The spa was extremely good and I enjoyed a hot stone massage.
The restaurant was very welcoming and clean and the food was very good. The portions were enormous so, if like me, you don't eat a lot ask for a smaller portion.
All the staff were really helpful and we both enjoyed ourselves.

Stayed two nights as we were attending a nearby wedding. Pleasant enough stay. For a superior double there wasn’t much superior about it. Very tired dated decor and furniture.. just felt shabby.
I can’t fault the staff. So friendly and helpful. The night Porter also brought me a replacement hairdryer in the morning as the one provided blew up within 5 mins of using. Food in Massimo was ok. Not wonderful. The cooked breakfast was fine and gluten free toast was provided for myself which I appreciated.

Hotel was well located for the wedding we came for. Slightly dated but sufficient for what we needed. Advertised Massimo’s Italian restaurant which had no actual Italian food u less you wanted kids Italian food. When asked for adults food we had to ask for double sized child portion. The steak was beautiful but the surf and turf was just shy of £30. The beer was very expensive too. A bottle of Tuborg was £4.90 a bottle (6 for £5 Where I’m from). Breakfast was luckily included or it was £14 per person on top of the room rate. £14 was a lot of money for self serve food and scrambled eggs were awful in taste and fried eggs were over cooked. You would need to be extremely greedy (or sneak an extra packed lunch) to get value for money it was okay! Cereal, pastries and cooked food on offer along side tea, coffee and fruit juice with anaemic toast 🤣. We were in room 305 and it was extremely hot even with windows wide open. Positives were location was lovely and outside was spacious. Staff were extremely helpful and polite but I didn’t enjoy extra percentage added to beers added to bill even if it was only 35p per beer if I had gone mad it could have cost a fortune over the weekend! I would stay again no issue but would definitely make sure it included breakfast.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review and for your comments. As you will have noticed the hotel and restaurant are under going a stunning refurbishment. The restaurant is currently running a reduced menu until the official relaunch as explained at the time of booking. I would like to add that we do not add any percentage to any alcohol so confused to this comment. Once again thank you for your comments. Kindest regards Stacey

Arrived last night after an exhausting 7 hour drive from Scotland. The receptionist and the other hotel staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Incredibly natural and genuinely just caring about their customers. This morning I realised I had forgotten to pack my hairbrush and comb. Called reception with fingers crossed even for just one of those cheap throw away combs - where usually the teeth break before you’re finished combing hair. Not only did they have combs and hairbrushes but I was even asked if I wanted a paddle or round brush! Brush delivered to my room in its packaging within 2 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel, great sleep and no traffic noise. Old fashioned genuinely caring customer service and a great price.

I have visited this spa a number of times over the years but this was my visit visit since the pandemic and it was lovely!
As always the staff were friendly and welcoming.
On this occasion, my friend and I booked the Amber Dreams package which included a body scrub and balm, a neck and scalp massage - it was outstanding!
I tend to book this spa because of the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the treatments and the excellent facilities. I am already looking to book an overnight spa package for my husband and I for next month.

This is one of our favourite places we love to visit with our daughter's.The hotel caters well for families, as it has pool facilities available, within allocated time slots, and the hotel is local to amenities, and tourist attractions for families.
Massimo Italian restaurant offers classic Italian dishes, aswell as "special" selections from their menu.
The restaurant is very spacious and light,
with soft background music and tables lit with candles at night. The food is absolutely delicious, we have never come away disappointed, yet!.
Breakfast is buffet style also in Massimo Restaurant, with very good hot/cold food choices.Plenty of room to manoeuvre during busy breakfasts, and hot/cold food replenished regularly. A bonus of having tea/coffee served at the table.
The hotel is home to very friendly staff
who will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay!

We can't wait to see you all again soon, hopefully when the weather is warmer and dryer!😆.
- keep up the great work.

Stayed here a few times over 10 years ago and I don't think the rooms have changed since, first room we were given had no curtains and the window seal was no existent so you could hear everything outside. We moved rooms which was better but still very dated. The customer service was on point and the spa looked good, little pricey at £30pp even if you are staying at the hotel. The hotel needs some Serious investment to bring it upto standard, but the potential is there.

From the moment we set foot in the hotel we felt safe and were looked after by very attentive staff. We had afternoon tea on arrival which could not be faulted apart from there was too much. The rooms were clean tidy and there were toiletries in the bathroom. Our evening meal was again excellent and included wine and because one of our choices wasn’t available we were given a large tasty garlic bread. After a good night’s sleep breakfast was again excellent with plenty of choice and service was excellent. The hotel is just south of the motorway but you couldn’t hear it and is set in lovely grounds Will certainly return

Hello! I think the nearest shop is a Tesco express which in foot would Kanye take around 15-20 mins in regards to restaurants I know there is a local pub not too far away called the Scotland not sure if they serve food. The only others I know of are at junction 27 plenty of choice there, but it’s definitely not walking distance maybe a taxi journey. Hope this helps 😊
