A delightful B&B - tea and cake on arrival, clean and tasteful rooms and a great breakfast. Excellent for starting a walk along the Dales Way and well placed for a short stroll to all the restaurants in Ilkley.

This B&B is a good option if you are planning to walk the Dales Way from Ilkley. One kilometer distance from town centre and the train station, but conveniently located close to the start of the Dales Way. Only two rooms, one with en-suite bathroom and the other with bathroom just across the landing. Clean and attractive rooms, newly refurbished,...

I stayed here recently with my friend whilst Walking the Dales Way. We used this a the starting Point, and what a start! We were greeted by Sally with a tea and fruitcake, and made to feel most welcome. The room itself was the perfect start to what turned out to be a fantastic walk. Breakfast was all the hungry...

We were made very welcome by Sally and had a peaceful night before setting off on the Dales Way. The location is ideal for walkers, just 15 minutes from station and less than 10 to the start of the walk.

I cannot better the title of other reviews. Sally has indeed achieved perfection. We spent the night here before walking the Dales Way and as other reviewers have said from tea and cake on arrival to recommending an afternoon walk to limber us up, a beautifully appointed bedroom and en suite and a wonderful breakfast it was fantastic. It made...

I wanted to write this review following a wonderful weekend spent at Dales View Cottage but having read all the other reviews I realise there is little to be added to the outstanding comments made by all the other contributors. Yes, the bedroom was lovely, the breakfast superb, the views fantastic. But for us it was all the little things...

Sally welcomed us with tea and fruit cake whilst providing us with lots of helpful information about restaurants, local buses if needed and best places to leave our car for the week's walk ahead. Our room was beautifully appointed with glorious views to the hills and I can't remember having slept in a more comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and...

The other reviews do not lie. Lovely accommodation: clean, comfortable and uncluttered. Fantastic breakfast (big bowl of fresh raspberries for the muesli a nice touch) and hosts that try to help with any query. I had the room without the ensuite - the bathroom was immediately adjacent and a wrap round dressing-gown was provided. The standard of B&Bs continue to...

Dales View Cottage may be a little outside of town to get to if you are on foot, but is the ideal start to walking the Dales Way, not just because of its location 5 minutes away from the Old Bridge starting point, but more importantly because of the quality of accommodation and hospitality on offer. I dashed off on...
