Warm welcome from staff (Keeley and Shelley)and regulars in the bar as soon as we arrived. Our room was prepared early once we said we had booked to stay and was clean and comfortable (a bit warm at night - but we had just had a cold snap). David , our host, was pleasant and looked after everyone with a...

Stayed for 2 nights and was made to feel very welcome .On arrival we were greeted by a very helpful young lady ( Keeley ) who couldn't do enough to help us . When we saw our room it was like being transported back in time, with lovely old brickwork and dark wooden beams mixed with ultra modern bathroom and...

Stayed 2 nights, first walked in Sunday afternoon, it was quite busy but made to feel welcome by both staff and regulars. The downstairs is an eclectic mix of chaos from masks to Egyptian 'artifacts', a lovely snug wrth comfy couches /armchairs and a roaring fire. The room (12A) was positively barren by comparison, very nicely laid out and warm,...

We really enjoyed or week long stay in January. This isn't the typical European Ikea inspired minimalist decor hotel. This place is filled with antiques that made the hotel and pub have a very home like feel. The building is very old, built in the 1600's I think. Our room wasn't anything fancy but it was warm, clean and comfortable.The...

A bit untidy on the outside of the building but once inside the landlord/landlady were most welcoming. Nothing was too much for them. The pub and our room were spotless and extremely comfortable. Our room was oldie with exposed beams, exposed stonework and modern plaster. The bathroom was very modern and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic and certainly not rushed....

Stayed for two nights at the White Hart Inn. Only a short drive to Avebury stone circle. On entering the pub through the back door, my first impression was of walking into an antique shop rather than a pub. So many books and interesting artifacts and ornaments all around. Lovely courtyard out the back and a really warm and comfortable...

Built, I understand, in the early part of the 19th century the White Hart Hotel has retained a lot of character and has an abundance of items that enable the visitor to view all sorts of equipment that may predate the lives of many of them. We, being of a certain age, found most to be something of a trip...

Amazing place. Service great and very friendly. Have young children who loved all the fantastic artefacts, antiques and books around the place. So worth a visit if you have an open mind and prefer eclectic to the mundane!

The White Hart is the perfect place to hold a party. We had free access to move from the bar to dining room for a three course sit down dinner to the bar to the upstairs function room to a beautiful courtyard under the stars. The food is the best we have had in a long, long time and the...
