Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The welcome from the manager and her staff was warm and friendly. The room (217) was small, with a very comfortable king size bed, clean and with basic facilities such as plastic chairs. The en-suite shower room was also small and adequate, although the extractor did not work and the shower tray had some mould traces. The hotel lacks a restaurant, but the boxed breakfast offered for a fiver was ok. The breakfasts had been placed in a hotel fridge (there is not one in the room) by the manager. Room tip: ask for 2nd floor at the back to avoid any road noise at the front. Overall a comfortable night ata reasonable price.

I have used Travelodge previously but not this particular hotel. It's Ideally situated on the London Rd out of Devizes It's easily within walking distance of the town centre.
We stayed for one night during our 100-mile bicycle ride to Bristol via the Kennet & Avon Canal the next day. It was bike-friendly and we could store them in our room or in the secure lobby area away from public view as promised in the advert. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, professional and polite, this was all staff we came into contact with.
I was very happy with the COVID safe policy and it was evident that everything was cleaned regularly. The lady on reception was respectful of the fact I am exempt from wearing a mask also which was pleasant as I do encounter some negativity when travelling out and about.
The room was spotless and still had tea & coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable. However, due to the this particular hotel being next to a very busy road the traffic noise may cause an issue if you have the window open due to having no aircon, albeit I just used my trusty ear plugs.
There is no restaurant on site except for a Subway Takeaway next door, but I would not recommend it. Although I had no issues during my stay, the only minor negative point is that I feel Travelodge lack minor facilities such as aircon in rooms which many of its rivals have, also combine this with its higher price with no food option available, it is easy to see why itt others would choose an alternative, which is a shame.

I have stayed at Devizes Travelodge many times and I have always found the service to be excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and a clean establishment. Currently the Covid rules are well publicised throughout the building with plenty of hand sanitizer stations. It is now up to the public to use their common sense. Well done to all the team.

Stayed here over 2 nights 28-1st February, I’ve never experienced such poor customer care from the girl on the front desk. Total apathy for any customer concerns or needs. Why oh why would you employ a young girl to do a managers job? She addressed one customer complaint regarding the cleanliness of the bathroom with “don’t think you’re getting a refund”....no interest in resolving the issue. Rude and unprofessional at very best.
I realise travelodge is budget accommodation, sadly the staff reflect the price point on this occasion.
This girl couldn’t even be bothered to help us out with a taxi company to get us into town.
Appalling...!!!!!!!!!!!!

Travelodge Devizes is fine, nothing special but it was clean, warm, comfortable and quiet.
It's situated reasonable close (15 minute walk) to the town centre and was easy to find.
There are better hotels available for sure, but not at these prices and we weren't there expecting to be treated like royalty.

We have just spent a week in the Devizes Travelodge and found it good value for money. It is well situated in Devizes and the Travelodge was exactly as it was described on the site. The room was a good size and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. It didn't have a restaurant which was a shame but we knew that before we travelled. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Two stays of a few days in consecutive weeks. We live in a quiet area so, having looked at previous reviews, called the hotel requesting rooms on the side away from the road. No problem we were told but on both occasions were allocated rooms facing the road. No one told us said the staff on reception. On the second occasion we were sent to a room already occupied. Basically continuous traffic noise starts at 06.30 and is relentless from them. The rooms on this side need additional glazing. They can do it at Falkirk, why not here ! The first room had a rather tired bathroom with more mould than I'd like. The hot water was normally tepid being anything like hot on only one occasion. On one day the water supply failed totally, although I will admit that this day was refunded without query. During the first stay the room heater did not work, this was reported but no substitute could be provided. No repair was effected.
The place needs an overhaul and refurbishment both building and systems. The staff were very friendly & helpful, for example providing extra towels, but were fighting a losing battle with the booking system and building which they clearly kept clean.

Very friendly staff. Helped me refrigerate my injection medication and very helpful with guidance about local places to eat. It is in a very good location to explore the canal and you can go in both directions. It's also within easy reach of Alton Barnes, a wonderful area of protected downland with a huge abundance of wild flowers. Also Avebury is close by too.

Nice hotel, would happily stay here again.
Very little phone signal in our room, unsure about rest of hotel and hardly any plug sockets for a family room. Staff were very helpful when needing the babies bottles sterilised.

The reception and cleaning staff are lovely. Quick and easy check in even though we decided to book an extra room. The young lady with glasses in particular couldn't be more helpful. The rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable and everything you could need was provided. There's free parking, a Subway food cafe/restaurant and what looked like a decent kebab/burger van outside.
There's no phone signal in the rooms but you get 30 minutes internet free and you can buy more if needed.
We would definitely stay again

Andrew
