Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for a short staycation and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodation is a really good size and has all you'll need. It's on a working farm which felt really nice. The service was not fussy and over attentive but there when you needed something. There were some really nice touches such as a bottle of local milk in the fridge on arrival and a packet of biscuits on the counter. We would definitely go back, the setting is charming and the stay relaxing. Ooh, and the BBQ area is great and afforded us a lovely afternoon over grilled goodies with friends.

This was my first visit to Tichborne’s Farm. Booking and communication with the owner were professionally handled and the additional information I requested was quickly forthcoming. The directions to the property were easy to follow and once i’d arrived I found ‘Linnet’, a clean, comfortable converted stable with all mod-cons (including lashings of hot water!). The little ‘extras’ provided and the care taken in presenting the property would lead me to happily recommend Tichborne’s Farm on to friends an family.

This self catering unit has everything you would need for a week or more. It is very comfortable and spacious. Each unit sleeps four, but there were only two of us.
The hosts are very friendly and keep the place spotless.
This is in the middle of the countryside near Devizes, very central for visiting so many places. Last week we drove into or through Somerset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Berkshire and, of course, Wiltshire.
I would definitely recommend Tichborne Cottages.

I have previously posted my glowing report of Tichborne Farm Cottages, but I am happy to do it again to let the world know what a lovely place it is to stay. My family and I are fast approaching our 100th visit since our fisrst visit in 2006.
Everything about the farm is perfect. Very peaceful, great setting, accomodation second to none and the owners, past and present are really lovely people

Our weekend break at Tichborne's Farm Cottages was absolutely fabulous. Originally we wanted to stay in Bath but having done some research we found the costs of Bath accommodation to be extortionate so we ended up paying less for 3 nights at Tichborne's than one night of B&B in a family room in a Bath hotel! Wow! The cottage was exactly what we needed to relax at the end of each busy day. The attention Jon and Judy give to detail is brilliant and they thought of our every need - little things like the lovely smell of clean bedlinen in the bedrooms, milk and orange juice in the fridge (thanks!) and the fluffy towels and toiletries. The cottage was lovely and warm for our arrival and had absolutely everything we needed. Two extra features that really stood out was the strong and reliable wifi connection - free of charge - and a telephone for making (need to pay for these) and receiving (free) phone calls as the mobile signal is quite weak in the region. This meant I could email the number to my family and we could stay in touch over the weekend as they were able to call me. The laundry room was very handy as both kids arrived in their school uniforms and I wouldn't have had time to wash them by the time we got home on the Sunday, so being able to have them all clean and ready for the Monday was really great. This was an afforable and excellent base for Bath, Lacock, Marlborough, Stonehenge and Devizes. My lovely husband also ordered an M&S buffet and birthday cake which he collected in secret from nearby Devizes :) Jon and Judy I can't thank you enough. I hope any other families reading this review find it useful.

We stayed in the Kestrel Cottage for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Loved the stable doors. Very good laundry facilities. Kitchen facilities were great. Nice big bathroom. Easy parking. We would definitely stay again if we ever come back to the area.

Lovely place to stay. Fab area to explore and if you enjoy peace and quiet - this is the place to go. Well furnished, great for our family and dogs. Stopped in The Granary.
My only niggle was that I found the coverings on the bed too noisy and the quilts were too heavy. However, I am being very fussy and I know others wouldn't mind this.
Would go back and wished we had stayed longer.

Checked in on Christmas Eve. The directions we received were very helpful and we found the cottages quickly even though the sat nav had no idea where we were. We were welcomed and shown around the cottage. There was fresh milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine. In the cupboard there was even a box of chocolates. The cottage was clean and there was free wifi. One day this didn't work and was fixed right away by Jon. He left a note and dropped by the next day to ask if everything was working. It's difficult to think of improvements as we enjoyed our stay immensely, but if I had to say anything it would be that the double bed was a tad narrow (at home I have a kings size) and the couch was a bit small. For the five of us (2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs) it was perfect!

We just had a week at Tichborne's Farm Cottages (we filled up 2 cottages) and overall the stay was great - everything clean and enough towels etc. Beautiful countryside and once you have a good GPS/map, easy to get around the area. 5 mins drive to Devizes. The only downside was that there was supposed to be wifi but it was not working during our week-long stay. We were there for a family wedding and there was a lot of coming and going and we were out a lot, so missed the opportunity to tell the owners about it until the end of the week and by then... well, it was the weekend. They were very accommodating and allowed us to use their office wifi just opposite the cottages, which was fine - but before this I had had to drive into the nearest town (Devizes) to visit a wifi cafe to send some urgent emails. So that kind of took the edge off the otherwise excellent services. There's a washing machine but you need to bring your own washing powder so unless you live in the UK and drove there with a handy small amount, you have to purchase a large box in the supermarket. There is salt and pepper provided and they do stock your fridge with a bottle of wine and a bottle of milk for your arrival!
Recommended for sure, but if there is a problem with eg internet do remember to tell them asap, don't wait till the weekend like we did!

We have just returned from a weekend here. This is our 2nd time staying.
Beautiful little cottages with everything you need for a self catering holiday.
Spotlessly clean and comfortable. We have stayed in 2 different cottages, and both have a quaint country homely feel about them.
Only 5 minute drive into Devizes to get shopping etc, yet you are far enough away to feel you are in the middle of nowhere.
A big thank you to the owners John and Judy for making our stays with you so comfortable, your attention to detail impeccable.
We will definitely be back.
