Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely dinner, enjoyed with family as part of a get together weekend. Lovely food, good choice of drinks both for those that like a tipple and those that like something softer. Very warm thankyou to the Well House Manor

This is a small hotel (5or 6 rooms) and is situated a very short walk from the town centre, with ample parking. The receptionist was friendly and gave us some recommendations for an evening meal. The hotel does not serve evening meals however there are a few places to eat in Melksham. The room was well decorated and spotlessly clean. There was only a continental breakfast on offer but there was more than enough for us including fresh fruit as well as the usual breakfast fare. We could not fault the staff here. The hotel had free WiFi.

Another late evening find on our 6 week road trip of UK. Whole establishment well maintained. Good sized room with everything spotless. Not far from town with number of eating places. Breakfast was OK

Second visit to the Well House and it was just as good as the first time. Immaculate rooms, friendly staff and lovely continental style breakfast. It is set back from the road in it's own grounds and is very quiet. Returning again next week.

What a superb find in the middle of the small insignificant Wiltshire town of Melksham. Just 6 miles from Devizes, Marketed as a small business hotel it's a fabulous little intimate retreat for couples. Very clean and comfortable with exceptionally friendly and polite staff, creating a lovely ambiance. Complimentary hot and cold soft drinks available 24/7 Large comfortable bed Lovely soft fluffy towels and generous complimentary toiletries and essential travel items. Continental breakfast only, but more than adequate selection making a nice change from the usual fry up. This little place is well worth going out of your way if you are staying around Swindon Chippenham or Devizes. Definitely very close to the top of our list !

We stayed at the Well House Manor for one night with friends whilst walking Kennet Avon canal. Perfect location just out of town but within walking distance to amenities of local pubs, shops etc. Rooms very nicely furnished with excellent facilities. Breakfast is provided on self service style and was more than adequate. Hope to return soon.

Very good. Clean and comfortable; friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast. Close to town centre. Stayed just for one night and walked to Casa La Cucina for dinner which was great. Hotel Recently refurbished to a high standard.

Stayed here on a last minute booking for a week-end away and would recommend it. The hotel classes itself as a "business hotel" but the staff are so friendly it's fine for leisure breaks. Rooms are well-appointed with usual comforts. Our room was very hot but that was our fault for leaving windows closed; there are ceiling fans in the rooms. Beds and furniture is all new and very comfortable. No restaurant but buffet breakfast was relaxed and tasty. Recommend.

A very dog friendly B&B set with lawns to the back and side suitable for late night and early morning "exercise".There where at least 3 other dogs staying overnight in addition to our two. Large clean modern bedrooms with large, flat screen TVs , mini-fridges and laptop safes. Continental buffet breakfast. Within easy reach of the dog friendly Kings Arms for an evening meal, Highly recomended

We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival with our 3 dogs. Given a tour of the public areas and shown where a safe fenced area of the garden was. The room was large and airy with a mix of old and new furniture styles, the bathroom was immaculate with a large double shower. The bed was a little squishy for our liking but we slept well. Breakfast is continental but there was a great range of pastries meats and cheeses to choose from. We thought that this hotel was excellent value for money and would not hesitate to go back
