Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hook farm cottages are worth the trip The cottages are beautiful inside with a kitchen so you can cook your own meals or warm up food from the nearby restaurants like The Churchill As you walk through your home there are doors leading to your own patio with table and two chairs A very nice place to visit and comfortable

Week long family stay in two cottages for a staycation during COVID. Very welcoming hosts and spotless, well furnished/equipped cottages. Nice base to see a part of the country we had not really explored before. Recommended.

The quality and friendliness at this accommodation has not changed in five years. Two bedroom cottage perfect with a large double and two singles, full kitchen facilities. Always bread, butter, jams, milk, fruit and now farm made Apple Juice on arrival. Amazing laundry facilities. So quiet and the view of the cows in the fields is so relaxing. Outdoor area with table and chairs. Close to M4 but cannot hear a thing, perfect for getting around the area easily. Claire makes us feel so welcome every time. Cannot rate this highly enough.

Stayed here for a week while we were between moving houses and countries! The beautiful cottage was just perfect. We were greeted with a tray of fresh apple juice, bread, jams and a bowl of fruit which was such a lovely touch. The cottage had ample parking outside the front door, and despite being on a working farm, our stay was so incredibly peaceful. We didnt even realise there were people staying in the other cottages! The living room is so comfortable and has a full kitchen so you can prepare meals and a table to eat at. There is also the use of a laundry facility on site which you can use at your own leisure. The bedroom was a fantatsic size and the large double bed was incredibly comfy. Outside you get a lovely private terrace with a table and chairs and a parasol which backs on to a large open field and you can see the cows in the next field over. We loved sitting out there at night and star gazing, and again in the morning watching the cows and eating our breakfast. The owners were so friendly and helpful right from the first communication. Thank you again for a lovely peaceful stay! We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in 3 of the cottages for our sons wedding. The cottages are beautifully appointed and provide everything you could need. Richard and Claire gave us a wonderful welcome and were so helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Hook Farm Cottages

I stayed in a 1 bed cottage which was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. There are also excellent washing facilities on site. Lydiard park is a short walk away and the cottages have a nice view over open countryside to the rear. The owners are very friendly and I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Went to join hubby for a weekend who was staying here whilst woring in Swindon, ended up staying for the majority of the week. 1 bedroomed cottage is small but perfectly adequate for 2 people. The lounge contains sofa, dining table & chairs and a little kitchen area - it may only be a small area but it has everything you need for a stay here. Bedroom is nice and large with a really comfortable bed, decent sized wardrobe abd dressing table. Bathroom is also quite big with a shower cubicle, toilet and basin. You get a nice warm welcome that includes flowers, tea/coffee/sugar bread, butter, jams etc Looking forward to going back agaoin next month
