Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Week long family stay in two cottages for a staycation during COVID. Very welcoming hosts and spotless, well furnished/equipped cottages. Nice base to see a part of the country we had not really explored before. Recommended.

We stayed as a group of 6 adults here for 8 nights. When we arrived the peace and tranquillity was beautiful The cottages were spacious and well presented We were met by the owners James and Jane and they were wonderful We went in and found a loaf of bread , butter, eggs and milk as well as a basket of fruit and lovely flowers The hospitality was amazing and we found Hook Farm to be perfectly centralised to see the major sites ( Stone Henge Bath Salisbury Cathedral ) and many beautiful sites Would HIGHLY recommend a stay here .... Suitable for couples singles and families You may even see a calf being born... Excellent James and Jane

We stayed in 3 of the cottages for our sons wedding. The cottages are beautifully appointed and provide everything you could need. Richard and Claire gave us a wonderful welcome and were so helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Hook Farm Cottages

We have been at Hook Farm for 11 nights and could stay forever. The owners are all lovely and friendly but not in your way. It has everything you could want. There was eggs, milk, bread, butter, fruit and flowers when we arrived. We self-catered every meal and there was nothing you could want for. So peaceful even though you can see the M4, so it is convenient for day trips. You do need a car though. Definitely the place to stay and if we come back to this area, this is number one. Such fantastic value for money as well. Thank you the Woolford family.

We couldn't have wished for better accommodation in every way. Very near to lots of pretty villages, interesting places and just off the motorway which was handy. We even got to see two deer in the field opposite our room. Jane and James made us so welcome and left a welcome pack for us. We look forward to another visit this year.

Stayed here for a week while we were between moving houses and countries! The beautiful cottage was just perfect. We were greeted with a tray of fresh apple juice, bread, jams and a bowl of fruit which was such a lovely touch. The cottage had ample parking outside the front door, and despite being on a working farm, our stay was so incredibly peaceful. We didnt even realise there were people staying in the other cottages! The living room is so comfortable and has a full kitchen so you can prepare meals and a table to eat at. There is also the use of a laundry facility on site which you can use at your own leisure. The bedroom was a fantatsic size and the large double bed was incredibly comfy. Outside you get a lovely private terrace with a table and chairs and a parasol which backs on to a large open field and you can see the cows in the next field over. We loved sitting out there at night and star gazing, and again in the morning watching the cows and eating our breakfast. The owners were so friendly and helpful right from the first communication. Thank you again for a lovely peaceful stay! We would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Hook Farm, could not fault cottage and the welcome by all the family on the farm. Comfortable, warm, clean and well equipped accommodation. Comfy bed and lots of drawer and wardrobe space. Wifi was good and welcome for keeping on top of our business. Extremely well run and a delightful place to stay.

Spent a week staying in a comfortable , well equipped cottage on Hook Farm. A warm welcome from the owners. Although it is a working farm it is quiet and convenient for a variety of places. You can see the M4 but no noise.

We stayed at Hook Farm for just over two weeks and had a great time.

The accommodation was first class and we could quite happily have lived in the comfortable, well equipped cottage.

It was lovely pulling the curtains back in the morning and looking over the green fields and seeing the cows. It was a shame there wasn't much sunshine as we would have loved to have sat on the patio and enjoyed a glass or two of vino.

The location is great for doing touristy things although we stayed there mainly so we could see our family.

Can see why the reviews are so good.

Would love to be able to stay again soon.

Lovely quiet cottages conveniently situated for cotswolds, Oxford, Bath etc. Really well equipped and spotlerssly clean. Very friendly owners. This was a second visit and we would certainly return if ever in this area.
