I went for my 50th birthday. On a Sunday. I absolutely loved it. The decor and ambience of the apartment is fantastic. The lions did not disappoint, as soon as we arrived, they were outside the windows. They were awake at night time, and got up to lots of antics. I was in awe a little frightened at the night time, and then just in awe again in the daytime. The food I think was really good. There was not a lot on offer for this time of year to grab to have for a late lunch when you get in there. One thing I think would be best for this time of year though, is the amusement park was closed, so It was quieter . All the staff were lovely. The only thing I would change is a later check out. And it would be great if it was slightly cheaper. I have put a YouTube video up of my experience. Entitled lion lodge overnight stay Uk.

The lodges are fantastic, saw so many animals from our lodge, it was spacious warm and comfortable. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff they helped in every way. As cars are not allowed at some/most of the lodges and being disabled they would send a car to us. M

It's hard to put into words our time at the Giraffe lodge - both photos and words struggle to do it justice. I booked the stay as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday and it exceeded my expectations by far. I was worried the experience might feel juvenile but it's definitely not solely tailored towards children/families, it was more than enjoyable for us just as a couple in our 20s. We were offered an early check in due to the time of year which was a well appreciated touch as it gave us more time to see the animals in the daylight. In addition to this, we were also given access to view the giraffes from the mezzanine in their enclosure with two members of staff who were amazing - really personable and extremely knowledgeable about the animals. This was an unexpected extra and we really enjoyed it. There's clearly been a great deal of attention to detail paid when designing the lodge - I've attached photos of our lodge and the view. I was apprehensive in the time leading up to our stay after reading some of the reviews on here, however I'd say any negative review is simply a lack of due diligence. It states multiple times on the site and throughout the booking process that food is served in glass jars so it shouldn't come as a surprise. Our food was lovely regardless of the presentation, and the lodge came with a well sized snack basket if you worry the amount of food wouldn't be substantial. Another complaint I've seen is regarding the visibility of the animals - I would definitely say that the giraffes and cheetahs were the most visible/active so those are the two lodges I'd recommend. During our stay (temperature around 3-6 degrees, end of November) the giraffes were still outside the whole of the daylight hours, with every single one of them out in the morning as pictured. The safari itself was a lot of fun, and there were a lot more animals than we anticipated. In terms of value for money I'd say it's worth every penny and more besides - for me it's more memorable than some holidays abroad we've had, which I think says a lot. I would wholeheartedly recommend the lodges, and I think we'll definitely return. A special mention goes to the two members of staff with the giraffes (I believe Rosie and Shelley?) and the gentleman at guest services whose name we didn't catch - they're a real credit to WMSP.

The park may be lovely I wouldn’t know as I can’t get hold of anyone there via phone or their website. The park may or may not be brilliant but to be able to contact them is virtually impossible. The phone line tells you to go on their website then hangs up and the website form just sends you an automated response that just tells you what you can read on the website. Can’t comment on what the stay would be like as I can’t contact them when wanting to book!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. We are very sorry to hear you have been unable to get in touch with the team. Unfortunately, we have experienced some technical issues with our phone lines and internet the last few days which have resulted in some delays, Our lodge team do not have a direct contact number, all enquiries prior to a stay needs to be via their email bookings@safari-lodges.co.uk due to the very high volume of enquiries they receive daily. We can see that our team did respond to your enquiry on the 26th November, 2 days following your first email but have not yet received a response from you. If you have any further enquiries, please email support@wmsp.co.uk so that we may assist.

Absolutely wonderful experience staying at the Red Panda lodge. The park is friendly, clean and the animals are well looked after. I would recommend this park to families as there is so much to see and do. We will be back.

Avoid the Safari Park lodges. Your money is best spent elsewhere. Bearing in mind the cost per night exceeds £900. We were met with a really dusty lodge which hadn't seen a hoover or mop - so I don't want to think what else hadn't been cleaned. A metal curtain rail which was not secured to the wall, so it fell next to my 9 month old. A shower room that smelt of sewage which opens into the kitchen. And on top of that, the food they offer is below par and needs reheating in glass jars. Yes, the animals are amazing and it's brilliant to see an elephant have its breakfast and dinner whilst you have yours. But it was soured by these issues. I would highly recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Because for less than 24 hours in a lodge that charges a similar rate to The Savoy in London, it's really not worth it. If I get a response to this review asking me to contact their customer service team - I have. Reference: 228663053. It has been 13 days and no response.

This was just an amazing experience. We were slightly nervous at what we would fined given the cost - but weren’t disappointed- the lodge quality is sensational - they are so big - the downstairs is massive with 2 huge bedrooms - the kids one has two single beds and an amazing treehouse bunk bed as well. Upstairs longe and kitchen/eating just as big. Great balcony and obviously the beautiful giraffes eight outside. The food was actually very good and high quality - it was quite easy to warm up and we enjoyed it. The service was great, staff helpful and relaxed. The rest of the park is great so we had a brilliant 2 days.

Me and my husband stayed in the elephant lodge. It was an amazing experience. Seeing the elephant outside the lodge having it's dinner and then in the morning having it's breakfast was an amazing sight. Woke up to the elephant looking into our lodge is a view I'll never forget. The dinner coming in jars was really good as you can then have your meal when you're ready to have it and the food was really nice. It was an experience we will never forget and enjoyed every minute of it. We will certainly be doing it again. Massive👍🏻

We arrived at the lodge reception just before 10am to check in & was checked in without any delay by Kate who was absolutely brilliant. All our information including maps, ticket’s ,wristbands & food for some of the animals was all ready for us We then drove around the safari which took about 1.30 hrs & managed to take lots of photos. We had lunch & walked towards our accommodation. We stayed at elephant lodge for two nights which was clean, warm & comfortable. Seeing so much of the elephants made our stay more memorable. The views from the windows of the safari were fantastic. We were worried about the meals as we were with parents in their 80s so we ordered different choices which worked out fine. A big thank you to all of the staff that made our stay memorable.

Myself and my partner stayed in a rhino lodge for one night as a 30th birthday gift. The lodge stay included access to the safari and theme park (summer season) on both days. We arrived at lunch and headed to the Safari before checking into our lodge at 2pm. The weather was dull and drizzly which meant the drive through experience was fairly quiet. We saw all of the animals and managed to feed quite a few with the animal food provided. It took us around 2 hours and we thoroughly enjoyed it! After that we checked into our rhino lodge, we were in awe of how impressive it was. We were super lucky that our lodge looked over into the giraffe enclosure from the back so we essentially could see both rhinos and giraffes. As it was beginning to get dark, the rhinos didn’t make an appearance on the first day but they did the next morning. Watching the baby walk around the corner and into our ‘garden’ was so special! The food was different but thoroughly enjoyable and the fact you didn’t need to leave your lodge was great for us! After a leisurely morning watching the park from behind the scenes we watched the private sea lion show (different to the public one so definitely check out both) and then headed back to the drive through Safari. It was much busier and a warmer day so the animals were less interactive but still enjoyable. Finally we headed around the theme park, there’s little to do for adults but is a great place for younger kids. Overall it was an incredible experience. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. We are already saving for our next visit, hopefully in a lion lodge!
