Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have stayed here several times for our anniversary. However this has been the worst ever. Sadly I did not know it had been sold. The room is as cold as the welcome we received. Not even an hello good evening welcome…. Nothing apart from oh I didn’t know you had booked I’ve only just seen the booking on booking.com. We ordered fizz and had to ask for champagne flutes. The room was freezing. We even went out earlier for dinner to get warm. Breakfast. Dining room so cold we are sat here with our coats on. James out if date. Cold breakfast. I work for a hotel and if I greeted our guests liked we were I would be out of a job. Worst hotel experience ever and totally spoilt our special Anniversary. Will definitely NOT be coming back.

From the welcome, to the decoration, to the bed, to the cooked breakfast- it was all amazing. One of the best places I have stayed. Highly recommended. Ample parking and only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bewdley.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Kateshill and we loved it! The rooms are large and comfortable, bathroom well appointed. It is a stately older home that has been kept in excellent condition The breakfasts were wonderful …. A proper English breakfast that was made to order. The staff Jenny , Hannah and Sam are friendly and helpful! The location is perfect within walking distance of Bewdley . We enjoyed our stay and highly recommended Kateshill for a memorable visit in a beautiful area of England .

Big family meal for our Parent’s 40th Wedding Anniversary, absolutely wonderful, magical afternoon and evening. The staff here can’t do enough for guests. Rooms are stunning with beautiful extras and features. Meal itself was delicious - home cooked food at its best. Service was excellent from all staff. Would definitely recommend this place for a function.

The property was lovely. Very nicely decorated and clean, although the shower had no pressure. The staff friendly. Breakfast was good. However, after paying the bill in full on the last day of our stay, we were charged another £140 a week later!! This was without any consent and when I notified the hotel proving that the bill was paid in full, the hotel has never responded. Luckily, Booking.com refunded our money!!

Stayed here for the night, the hotel is absolutely beautiful we arrived to a very warm welcome and we were made to feel at home straight away, we were shown to our room so we could settle ourselves in. We later went down to the bar where again we were made to feel very welcome it felt a very nice and relaxed atmosphere. The room itself was very nicely decorated as was the rest of the hotel, the room was very spacious and had a large tv along with Wi-Fi. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and arrived in a very timely manor. My only complaint would be the bed we slept in was very uncomfortable and felt it was creaky when turning over in the night, the pillows were very firm so it wasn’t the best night sleep, also the room was rather cold, also it would of been nice to have tea and coffee available in the room however this doesn’t spoil the wonderful experience we had and we will definitely be returning again in the near future.

Afternoon Tea - First Class in beautiful surroundings. Staff very attentive without being overly so. Sam, who runs Kateshill House is amazing. No trouble to request more of anything, tea, sandwiches, cream etc. Recommend highly.

Visited for afternoon tea. Everything was freshly made! Warm pastries, scones fresh out of the oven. Sandwiches and range of fillings were delicious! Well worth the price. Would definitely recommend.

We arranged Afternoon Tea for my wife’s parents 75th Birthday and everything was brilliant. Sam was very good with all the arrangements and meeting our menu needs even down to us asking for chips as an extra to her standard afternoon tea! A memorable day was made special by Sam and her staff.

Great location, very comfortable room, we stayed in Henry and the room far surpassed our expectations, we received a really warm welcome. We had a few drinks in the bar where we received excellent service and advice/ local knowledge from the bar staff. Breakfast was superb, we can’t wait to stay again.
