Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed a night whilst on the Pennine way. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The ensuite shower was great. You have to walk down into Delph to eat and initially we thought coming back up would be difficult after a long day of walking but it wasn't at all, we seemed to make it back up the hill in record time. We had our evening meal in the White Lion and we were not disappointed, a great pub. Alice is a fantastic host and when our taxi didn't turn up as agreed and Alice very kindly helped us to organise a taxi with a different firm so that we could get back to start of our walk at the Brun Clough Reservoir.

Stayed here with a couple of friends as we had a school reunion in Uppermill. We were met by Alice who is absolutely lovley and very welcoming. The rooms were great..very clean and tremendous views across Delph. I must say I slept like a log the bed was so comfy. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend staying here..5 stars without a doubt

Stayed here only one night, sadly, as part of our Pennine Way holiday. Alice is a brilliant host, going above and beyond when our taxi decided not to show up the next morning. She happily drove us back to the trail. Rooms are lovely, bedding is luxurious and the place is beyond clean. Breakfast was lovely too. Slept like a log

Off to an evening wedding reception in Lydgate,so booked a night here. We were in the ground floor suitable for people with limited mobility. A lovely spacious bathroom and bedroom with the furnishings of very good quality. The breakfast was superb and plentiful with options other than a full English. The lady owner friendly and charity. The views from the guest house are stunning, Would recommend and return !

Lovely stay in immaculate accommodation and first rate breakfast. Alice and her family made you feel very welcome. Would recommend. Great views too. Short walk into Delph, very quaint with nice chip shop. There are chalets too which were luxurious and they come with hot tubs!

What can I say. Arrived to a friendly welcome. Beautiful spotless accommodation would definitely come back and recommend it to friends. The surrounding area is stunning ideal for walks, cycling although I would need an electric bike for the lovely hills.
