The hotel is a short walk from the train station, aprox 10 mins and a flat walk. I missed my connection and was close to arriving at the hotel just after 12.00. I called ahead to inform the reception staff and was told if I arrived after 12 I would have to pay £10, just what you want to hear...

Loved this hotel, staff nice and friendly, good sized rooms which were nicely cleaned. The vending machines were a great touch to the hotel, location is brilliant for where I was going. Plenty of parking on hotel grounds. Would recommend to anyone.

Waited on the reception for more than 15 minutes for somebody to come. Was around 21:00. I was told at the reception that check out is at 10:30. Room is fair and basic. All in all, its acceptable if you are here to spend a night at a good price. I paid 35 pounds. When i got to my room...

On arrival we found broken external window in one room (broken glass left on window ledge) and towel rail hanging off. Rooms are VERY basic but furnishings are ok, beds were very comfortable. It seems like they have stopped half way through improvements, some bits relatively recently decorated, some bits old and tired. Fittings in the room appear cheap, shower...

As the title says, this hotel seems to be a work in progress. We liked the free parking on site, the fountain and the key card access that works the front door too. On checking in we were given a room on the second floor. This room was a good size with a fridge and water as well as the...

We arrived at 14.30 and we're greeted by a young girl - not with a hello - but "you can't check in till 3". Ok. So my husband asked if he could use a toilet why we waited and she said no we couldn't. So we had to go down the road to the local Toby Carvery to use the...
