My best friend decided I needed a treat, to relax and recharge my batteries after having the worst treatment possible since being diagnosed with cancer. She found Oakwell guest house and what a find it was! Liz and Chris were lovely, they made us feel very welcome. The place was spotless, the beds super comfy and I slept through the night undisturbed - sea air may have also helped! The day started with a huge cooked breakfasts each morning, very tasty - it would be rude to say no! The little perk of giving you a bottle of fresh milk to go in the fridge in the room was a lovely touch, the room was well supplied with tea, coffee and biscuits too. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Oakwell Guest House, we are already planning on returning next year and staying for 3 nights instead of 2. Chris and Liz, I hope you get to read my review, thank you for looking after us. It was a real tonic. Sue and Dawn/Dawn and Sue!

We cannot recommend high enough! What a loverly b&b my wife and i have just come back from our holiday at the oakwell and it was great. Our room was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities and on arrival we were given a flask of fresh milk to put in the fridge that was in our room, the breakfasts were amazing too very nice. What really made it for us tho were chris and liz the owners they are so friendly & welcoming nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to have a chat and recommend places to visit, we will most certainly stay there again.

Lovely b&b couldn’t rate it more highly, friendly couple owned place, very nice breakfast with black pudding! Comfy bed, quiet and the shower was lovely and hot in the en suite. Would definitely recommend for a solo traveller but there was other couples staying there so it’s suitable for any need. Thanks guys.

Cannot rate this highly enough - for a start the cleanliness was pristine.I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and the cleanliness here outdid them all. The room was well decorated, we had refreshments, the beds were comfy and we got a great sleep The real reason this place is so great though is the owners - so much effort was made to accommodate my vegan diet, they were so friendly and so welcoming and breakfast (both vegan and not vegan) was absolutely brilliant!
