We stayed in the family room at the weekend with a double bed and a bunk bed. There was still plenty of space in the room. The pillows were amazingly comfy! The room was very clean and we even had complimentary cookies with our tea/coffee. They also provided fresh milk in a flask to keep in the mini fridge which was nice. They had a tv in the room and free WiFi which my children loved for their tablets. Very close to the seafront and amenities. They also provided a free permit to park outside. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, egg was cooked to perfection and they even brought my children’s breakfasts out already cut up so we could enjoy ours. Plenty of choice for breakfast and catered for my children 4 and 7 very well. Lovely people. Lovely guest house. Would definitely recommend. Tracy, Alex, Mazie & Elexa x

We cannot recommend high enough! What a loverly b&b my wife and i have just come back from our holiday at the oakwell and it was great. Our room was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities and on arrival we were given a flask of fresh milk to put in the fridge that was in our room, the breakfasts were amazing too very nice. What really made it for us tho were chris and liz the owners they are so friendly & welcoming nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to have a chat and recommend places to visit, we will most certainly stay there again.

What an absolute gem of a place. I stayed for a night this week and it was lovely. The owners, Chris and Liz, are a very friendly couple who do their up most to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The room was lovely, clean, warm and with a very comfy bed. Nice little touches like fresh milk rather than the cartons and an iron and ironing board outside your room. The Oakwell is perfectly located too. Just 3 minutes from the train station and less than 5 minutes to the front. The star of the show was the breakfast. Cereals to choose from, tea or coffee, toast, orange juice and a fabulous full English which hit the spot. This wasn’t my first time at the Oakwell and it won’t be my last.

Just got back from a lovely break at Oakwell. Stayed for 3 nights with my mum and nephew my parents and nephew have stayed there regularly with the last owners and continued as regulars since. My dad was not able to join us this year so we stayed in the Family Room on the first floor with a double bed and bunk beds with en-suite. You cannot fault the rooms or service. Clean rooms, slept like a baby on comfy beds with quality bedding and a delicious breakfast which will have you skipping down the stairs each morning. The rooms are well equipped with Wi-Fi, TV and mini fridge and we were provided with a flask of milk to keep in the fridge with Tea and Coffee facilities and biscuits provided daily. Chris and Liz make you feel so welcome nothing is too much trouble even when children have accidents in the room as previously happened with my nephew. I have stayed in Bridlington many times and this is definitely one of the best stays I have had. There was another regular guest staying while we weee there and you can see why. Will definitely be back.

Cannot rate this highly enough - for a start the cleanliness was pristine.I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and the cleanliness here outdid them all.
The room was well decorated, we had refreshments, the beds were comfy and we got a great sleep
The real reason this place is so great though is the owners - so much effort was made to accommodate my vegan diet, they were so friendly and so welcoming and breakfast (both vegan and not vegan) was absolutely brilliant!

A friendly welcome and a spotless clean bedroom and en-suite. The guest house is really central and handy for everything - the rail station, beaches, town and shops. Also, the Spa is just round the corner. A short stroll gets you to a variety of eateries and pubs (try the Albion on Hilderthorpe Road, a smashing old style boozer).
We found our room really quiet and slept very well.
Can't fault the Oakwell. All credit to the proprietors, who clearly work very hard to keep their clientele happy and comfortable.
Suffice to say that we're returning in November to introduce our granddaughter to Brid and will be staying at the Oakwell.

Liz and Chris are lovey Warm and welcoming people. The guesthouse is ideally situated in Bridlington. The prices are good, the rooms are very clean and have mod cons such as freesat TV, wifi, USB charge points, a sizeable en suit bathroom. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely and they are great at adapting to suit dietary needs. I would definitely recommend this to others and stay here again.

Lovely b&b couldn’t rate it more highly, friendly couple owned place, very nice breakfast with black pudding! Comfy bed, quiet and the shower was lovely and hot in the en suite. Would definitely recommend for a solo traveller but there was other couples staying there so it’s suitable for any need. Thanks guys.

A beautifully clean and perfectly maintained little room at a very reasonable price. The freshly cooked breakfast was lovely and faultlessly cooked. Friendly, helpful hosts. Good location close to all amenities. All in all a great stay, highly recommended.
