Chris & liz welcome you to the Oakwell Guest House, a 6 bedroom all en-suite establishment, only 5 mins walk from the harbour and railway station. Spa Theatre only a few mins walk away. We try to cater for all needs. We are family orientated and nothing is too much trouble.

A friendly welcome and a spotless clean bedroom and en-suite. The guest house is really central and handy for everything - the rail station, beaches, town and shops. Also, the Spa is just round the corner. A short stroll gets you to a variety of eateries and pubs (try the Albion on Hilderthorpe Road, a smashing old style boozer). We found our room really quiet and slept very well. Can't fault the Oakwell. All credit to the proprietors, who clearly work very hard to keep their clientele happy and comfortable. Suffice to say that we're returning in November to introduce our granddaughter to Brid and will be staying at the Oakwell.

We cane here for the first time last year and won't go anywhere else in Bridlington now. Chris and Liz are great hosts and nothing is a problem for them. Our son is autistic and very fussy with food but they didn't mind trying different things for breakfast and we're great with him in general. Already booked for next year, see you then.

Just got back from a lovely break at Oakwell. Stayed for 3 nights with my mum and nephew my parents and nephew have stayed there regularly with the last owners and continued as regulars since. My dad was not able to join us this year so we stayed in the Family Room on the first floor with a double bed and bunk beds with en-suite. You cannot fault the rooms or service. Clean rooms, slept like a baby on comfy beds with quality bedding and a delicious breakfast which will have you skipping down the stairs each morning. The rooms are well equipped with Wi-Fi, TV and mini fridge and we were provided with a flask of milk to keep in the fridge with Tea and Coffee facilities and biscuits provided daily. Chris and Liz make you feel so welcome nothing is too much trouble even when children have accidents in the room as previously happened with my nephew. I have stayed in Bridlington many times and this is definitely one of the best stays I have had. There was another regular guest staying while we weee there and you can see why. Will definitely be back. …

Were recommended to try Oakwell when our original accommodation let us down last minute… Chris & Liz were amazing from the start and went out of the there way to save the day and put us up for a couple of nights. We arrived very late and needed to get 3 blokes (with guitars!) in one room, but nothing was too much trouble. As the saying goes, “the show must go on”, and it quite literally did because of Chris & Liz! A very comfortable stay with good breakfast and good conversation - can’t ask for more. We look forward to staying again one day! Cheers guys… The Decades xx

Nice B&B. We stayed 2 nights bed and breakfast. We had a double bedroom on the top floor, bathroom with shower, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. We were given a little bottle of fresh milk on arrival which was nice. We were a bit early arriving but the room was ready. Room was clean and tidy, bed comfy. Air freshener a bit strong but got used to it eventually (hence the rating of 4). Breakfast was cereals, fruit juice, toast with a variety of bread to choose from, and tea and coffee. We both went for a full English Breakfast on our first morning and it was massive. Had everything you could imagine. I was a bit more selective 2nd morning, but hubby had the same again lol !! Looks like they are starting a refurb so it will be lovely when finished. Lovely friendly people. Great value for money. Handy location for the Spa theatre, town centre and harbour.…

What an absolute gem of a place. I stayed for a night this week and it was lovely. The owners, Chris and Liz, are a very friendly couple who do their up most to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The room was lovely, clean, warm and with a very comfy bed. Nice little touches like fresh milk rather than the cartons and an iron and ironing board outside your room. The Oakwell is perfectly located too. Just 3 minutes from the train station and less than 5 minutes to the front. The star of the show was the breakfast. Cereals to choose from, tea or coffee, toast, orange juice and a fabulous full English which hit the spot. This wasn’t my first time at the Oakwell and it won’t be my last.
