Stayed at the Swallow Hotel whilst attending a concert at the Spa in Bridlington. The location is superb and is 2 minutes walk from town and the Spa, beach, promenade. A few parking spaces available outside the hotel and a warm welcome from the staff when we checked in. Our room had sea views and was warm, clean, airy and very comfortable and toilet, shower and towels etc all to a very high standard. Staff explained local amenities and best places to eat, drink and our breakfast was to a very high standard and genuinely nothing seemed like too much trouble for any of the team. We met Gifty the owner of the premises at breakfast and she was lovely and keen to make sure our stay had been pleasant, and also made sure we received a “Gifty Hug” before we left. A brilliant place to stay in Bridlington and don’t think you will find anywhere better if visiting this area. 5 star service from Gifty and the team.....well done all.

We had a wonderful time at The Swallow Hotel. The room is very clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff. If you stay a number off days they will remember your breakfast order and make your stay very enjoyable. It is in a great location in Bridlington just a few hundred meters from South Beach but on a quiet street just a short stroll from the harbour and the town. The breakfast was well cooked and the Covid-19 precautions well practised. The hotel is rated as exceptional so had a lot to live up to but it won't disappoint.

Stayed 3 nights in this super clean hotel. Location was great. Room was great. Staff and breakfast were very good, Covid precautions were good, hand sanitisers in various locations, no close contact with other guests. Would definitely stay here again.

A stay at the Swallow Hotel comes complete with a warm and friendly welcome by the owner, Gifty. We would normally look for modern rather than traditional-style accommodation - we chose the Swallow Hotel solely because it was opposite The Spa theatre. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we could need, including an suite bathroom and tea / coffee making facilities. TV was small but we didn't use it so can't comment further on availability of freeview / dvd etc.

Unfortunately we were disturbed through the night by noisy guests in the room below us so had little sleep, but what sleep we did have was good (no outside road noise) and the beds were very comfortable / cosy. Room was warm and we were able to adjust the temperature.

Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. We both had full English with very well cooked poached eggs. I have food allergies and Gifty went to the trouble of getting soya milk and GF bread so that I didn't miss out.

We were sent on our way with smiles and a lovely 'Gifty Cuddle'... would highly recommend if you need a hotel close to the theatre.

My wife and I stayed at the Swallow Hotel, Bridlington for three nights midweek in mid July 2021. We had room 1 which was large with a high ceiling and a spacious en-suite shower and toilet. The accommodation was immediately clean. Hand sanitisers were in the hall and lounge. Breakfasts were scheduled so that it reduced the number of guests in the dining room. We found 08:00 to be perfect! The full cooked English breakfasts were delicious! There was real coffee available too! In the room there was a very generous supply of bottled water, a fridge, kettle, mugs, tea bags, instant coffee and lots of UHT milk cartons. Plus two mini chocolate bars, one each! Everything was washed and restocked each day! At £90 per night for two people it was good value and very pleasant. The hotel is almost next to The Spa and within very easy walking distance from restaurants, pubs and the sea.

The room was very clean, extremely comfortable and had a TV that worked with lots of Freeview channels available. The bathroom was very clean and modern with a supply of fgood quality toiletries (although we had our own). There was a large wardrobe space plus drawer space at each side of the bed so you could find a home for everything. The tea tray was excellent and included bottles of mineral water. The tea bags were such that you felt like you had had a "proper cuppa."

Breakfast was a good as previous reviewers have stated. We will add that breakfast times were given per table to allow for social distancing; although we never felt under any pressure to "eat up" and vacate the table. Sonia, the lady who serves breakfast was friendly, polite but never intrusive.

We have used many hotels over the years and this one stands out in all respects and was an absolute pleasure to visit. The location is great with The Spa opposite and some great restaurants within five minutes walk.

We will be returning at some point to enjoy Gifty's excellent hospitality. Well-done to Gifty and her team who know how to make their guests feel very welcome.

Well,we’d been travelling just for a day out in North Yorkshire when we decided to visit Bridlington.Whilst nearly there we decided to have an unplanned stay overnight.
We quickly looked up Booking.Com and we found this hidden gem,the Swallow Hotel.
Our host was the lovely Gifty.
On visiting our bedroom room 6,we both commented how clean everything was and really comfortable,it was spotless,as was everything else.
Breakfast time arrived and we enjoyed a full English breakfast, which was excellent and well presented.
Service impeccable with both Gifty and her lady waitress.
This is certainly one to recommend and Gifty is a brilliant host,we will return for sure.

Well where do I start. This hotel is a little gem, Gifty is amazing nothing is too much trouble for her.. and her staff are thorough, attentive to your needs, just such a delight to stay in this hotel. Tried too book for same dates next year but she is fully booked, but no surprise there. Location is exactly where we wanted to be. Cleanliness and the Towels were that white and soft just amazing. Beds and bedding very clean and so comfortable, breakfast was lovely and ample, even came and asked if we needed more toast and tea. Basically you were made to feel special, just like being at home from home. Thank you Gifty for your kindness and your genuine hospitality. Ps your garden is an awesome secluded place to sit and relax and especially admired the Large White Calla Lillies Plant.
