We had a lovely stay at Sunflower Lodge. Isla and John were so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bridlington, and even less to the beach and the nearby crazy golf.

Before we arrived I recieved a text message from John saying we could check in early if we wanted and was told how to access the free onstreet parking. The room was spacious, with all the amenities you would need (tea, coffee, fridge), and with explanations on how the hotel was covid secure, a lot of thought had gone into this. We were unable to find somewhere to eat on our first night in Bridlington (book ahead) and they kindly let us eat our pizza in the breakfast room, offering plates and cutlery.

Breakfast was ordered the day before using a tick sheet and it as lovely and very filling. We opted for a traditional English breakfast and a veggie one, as well as fresh fruit and yogurt. I usually find vegetarian breakfasts a bit of a dry disapotment, but this was really good. John was really attentative asking of we needed anything else and asking how our day had been.

Isla is one of the friendliest people you could meet. She offered my husband aftersun, provided food bags for our pizza lunch, advised us the best location to see the seals, provided us with a bus timetable and extended our parking permit on the last day so we didn't need to rush. All this made a wonderful stay at their hotel.

What can I say 2nd stay here.
Isla and John you're fabulous!
Room absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Breakfast served piping hot and cooked to absolute perfection!
Really impressed with all the effort made re covid safety measures. .
Hand sanitizer on entry, tv/dvd remotes sanitized and placed in bags.
Staggered breakfast sittings.
John and Isla wore face masks (guests were not expected to).
Tables were distanced and breakfast ran smooth and efficiently to time but still with a great atmosphere and didn't feel rushed.
Dining room beautiful.
Good choice of breakfast; cereals (loved the individually filled glass jars with different granolas, the mini bottles of orange juice and mini bottles of milk on the tables. All geared up to ensure guests weren't all handling the same serving jugs etc. A real lot of thought has gone into keeping guests safe and ensuring we felt safe too.
Super comfy ber, always a plus for me with a herniated disc!
Love the extra nice touches; mini bottle of fresh milk in the mini fridge (and a bottle of water each) each day, hand soap, toiletries.
Lovely fresh smelling fluffy clean towels.
Every detail was thought of.
Really close to an easy accessible beach with miles of golden sand.
Simply the best B & B we have ever stayed in.
Would highly recommend without hesitation and can't wait to get back for our next trip to beautiful Bridlington.
Thanks Isla and John for making our stay so comfortable and we look forward to coming back soon.

We arrived on the Saturday slightly early and were delighted to find a parking space right outside. We were greeted by lovely Isla who arranged the parking and told us our room was ready early. There was hand sanitiser close to the front door and upstairs to use when arriving and leaving. We went up to our room on the first floor at the front of the house. It was spotless with an incredibly comfy bed and an immaculate bathroom. We went into Bridlington on both days of our stay and walked a long way up the coast too. Enjoyed fish & chips on the seafront and a knickerbocker glory in one of the cafes on the front.
The breakfasts at the Sunflower were wonderful. There was loads of choice and the full English even had the little green bit in the middle of the tomatoes cut out. Such a small thing but much appreciated by Stuart. John was super pleasant and funny and we had a really good laugh with him in the mornings.
All in all this was one of the best B&B’s we’ve been to in what I suppose would be classed as difficult times. I felt a little bit sad that both Isla & John had to wear masks and visors all the time but I suppose that’s how it has to be.
Thank you Isla & John for a lovely stay and we will be back.

What a brilliant guest house!! Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful John and Isla. From the moment you step in to their bed and breakfast you feel at home. The rooms are lovely, as you would expect but it's the attention to detail that makes them outstanding! Fresh milk and water bottles in the mini fridge, topped up daily. Shower gel and shampoo in the gorgeous en suite not for getting the shower cap. 5* breakfast using local produce. Adhering to all the extra safety measures during this pandemic means that you can stay here, in the knowledge that you are safe. Parking spaces available free - just give them your registration number and use one of the many available spaces close by. One street away from the sea, walk down a little path at the side of the adjacent property and you are there. We have come home, relaxed and stress free. Lovely restaurant across the road (and down a bit). Highly recommend stopping at the Sunflower Lodge...we will be back !

I am so pleased I found this B and B. Maks and Urzula gave me a very friendly welcome. My room was very comfortable including toiletries, tea and coffee, mini fridge (with real milk). Breakfast was great with lots of choice. It is only five minutes walk into Bridlington and 15 mins drive from Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Head. Parking was a pound a day for a permit and I could always park right outside. All of this for £55 a night. I would highly recommend staying with Maks and Urzula at the Sunflower Lodge.
