We stay in this hotel last Thursday 16th of January 2020 for one Night. The service we recieved is good but the facilities and equipment in the room needs to be sorted.
The check in procedure was straight forward, we were allocated in room 222, the information regarding the hotel facilities was explained properly. Paulo from the bar was very helpful even though we are not having our dinner at the restaurant.
*The room size is good, we had enough space to move around. * The towel size is perfect * The fridge in the room is always handly for guest and the fridge temperature is resonably cold.
Because we both just finished our 12.5 hours shift, we decided to bring a take away at the hotel so that we both could just relax in the room, but what happened was the opposite.
I decided to take a shower before going to bed, there I realised that the shower drain was blocked so I had to finish my shower immediately as the water is almost at the toilet area.
I phoned the reception and I spoke to the guy that checked us in, I informed him that the bath room floor drain is blocked, he offered us the room next door room (room 224) which is similar to our current room. I accepted the offer even though we are fully settled in the room, I asked him if he could asked someone to send the new key card but according to him, there is no one who can provide that service at that time as he is on his own in the reception. (shocking for an acclaimed 4 star) so I had to put on my clothes to get the new key at the reception, go back to the room, unpacked and move our belonging in the next room.
Finally, bath room drain is working but the handle to change the water temperature is broken but with a bit of effort, it is workable. (the screw that connect the handle and the rotator is missing)
We do not want to move anymore, we just want to rest so we just stayed in the room.
during the night, the temperature of the room was erratic even though the room temp was set to 20 degrees, the room will suddenly becomes very hot to the point that we took the duvet off because we were both sweating and the next moment the room will become cold to the point that we had to completely cover ourselves because it was freezing. (felt like the typical England weather in our room) also, during the night, I realised that the pillow I was using has a big hole and the stuffed cotton is coming out. The next morning, I removed all the pillow casing out and found out that the pillow were old and stained. (please see the pictures I uploaded for reference) If I was doing a surprise audit that night, this hotel will most likely fail
The check out took long as there was only one person at the reception again, he took awhile helping someone over the phone and neither of the people waiting to check out is being attended too.
The likelyness of us returning to this hotel is low but I will be very intrigue if improvements will be made to a certain standard that will reflect the 4 star rating of this hotel.

The hotel is situated in near a shopping centre. The area around the hotel has a sewage stench. The staff especially a lady called Mansi who was very accommodating and actioned a couple of things that needed to be addressed. The very large bed was very comfortable. The free usage of the swimming pool sauna steam room and jacuzzi was great they were clean. Mansi the checking in agent also let me check out an hour later due to the issues I had in the room that I stayed in. I ate at the restaurant of the hotel. The food overly priced. The staff were so friendly. That’s why people go back. I stayed here pre COVID.
In the room that I stayed it didn’t have net curtains which I asked for and Mansi had them put up. The bathroom floor when it became even slightly wet had a not so nice urine smell. The carpet in the room was quite dirty. The sink had a slight leak. Which was sorted.

Booked this hotel as fairly cheap and we were coming down to watch the rugby. Cost £205 but they should really tell you that the price is more due to the parking fee.
Arrived around midnight Friday night and staff were great! Discounted the parking fee as we’d arrived so late.
Every staff member we came into contact with over our 2 night stay were so friendly, welcoming and made this hotel.
The room was incredibly hot during our stay. There was a fan placed in the room which was handy but much needed AC I think.
The main bedroom was lovely and plenty of room. Tea and coffee things were a nice touch plus biscuits and water.
The bathroom was a different story unfortunately. Mould everywhere and very dated. I think if the bathroom was refurbished then this place could be excellent!

I'm not sure what the bad reviews are all about! I have stayed here with friends a couple of times several years ago and the hotel was decent enough back then, but upon returning this past weekend it has improved immensely and is even better. Customers now have access to the pool and spa facilities on site, and the rooms appear to have been renovated (the one we stayed in, 414, at least!). The decor is lovely, the rooms are large and comfortable, with a big TV and a comfortable bed. For anybody wondering, the air conditioning worked perfectly and blew ice cold or toasty warm at the touch of a button. The bathroom was very modern, with a large powerful shower. The hotel itself is based very close to a tube station, and is in close proximity to the town centre which has lots of shops and cafes, etc. the staff were all very friendly, and we would definitely book this hotel again in the future. The only slight drawback is that parking is very limited in the hotel's carpark, so it is worth planning where to park in advance, but don't let this put you off, there are numerous nearby car parks available.

Never had an experience like it. Booked 2 rooms to stay for a 30th weekend. Got our key cards went into one of the rooms to find out someone else was still in there. Strange how checkin is from 2pm but the guests using the room were told they didn’t have to check out until 2.30. It ruined the weekend our friends have no where to get ready or unpack their things. The room obviously then needed time to be cleaned so was no available till late on so we headed out and didn’t get to use the facilities in the room at all. When we questioned the staff on this and asked for some money back they said guests are allowed to extend their stay for a later check out and it’s just unfortunate that happened and therefore the check in times are rough guides. On top of this the place needs a refurbishment, the rooms are tatty and the bathrooms are mouldy it completely ruined my friends 30th birthday weekend. Do not stay here!!!!

I am so disappointed with The Continental Spa customer service. I bought 3 spa packages for a total of 5 people on the 24th of October. The packages included a two course meal in their restaurant, which added an additional £20/£30 to the price per person, totalling £110 extra for the food. Unfortunately, I received a call one day later stating that the restaurant was full on that day, so I requested a refund for the food element of the package which they said they would grant for me. HOWEVER, when I contacted them one week later asking about my refund, they claimed that they had no idea about my request and wasn't aware about the restaurant being full on the day. I've yet to recieve a refund and the general response and handling of my case has been slow and extremely frustrating. First I was told that my refund will be processed, and when I followed up a day later, they said they were getting in touch with the venue which implied that my case was still being investigated. I have asked for my case to be escalated to a higher management and am currently awaiting a response. This is so disappointing as the services and facilities were fine and my family were happy with the massage treatments (my own massage seemed a bit rushed, but overall, a good exeprience). However, after all the debacle regarding my refund, which should have been pretty straightforward, I will NEVER come again, nor recommend this Hotel to any friends or family. I would advise that you think twice before booking with this hotel.

Very good location, hotel does look modern on initial arrival, but soon noticed lots of parts in the room that needed some TLC. The room didn’t feel very clean. Limescale in the bathroom. Stains on the carpets etc. I really liked the decor though & the electrics. I did have to move rooms as the loo seat wasn’t fixed down properly, they upgraded me to a larger room. The restaurant was very slow service took me 2 hours to get 1 pizza 1 drink & a pudding… the pudding in the end I had to ask for a takeout as I was so tired by 9pm, that took over half an hour, I ended up having to ask for it, got up to my room & it was the wrong one. Gave up with it couldn’t be bothered to go back down & say anything. Overall basic stay, wouldn’t of wanted 2 nights there. Was glad I was on a 1 night stay.

After a 24 hour flight from Australia, I had booked this so called hotel in advance as they said there was no problem parking. After collecting my car and trying to battle through traffic to find this place, I was horrified to find their parking was for about 5 cars. I tried to find someone to help, but nearly got attacked with undesirables milling around my car.. it was so dangerous and the hotel looking nothing like they advertised, so I took the safer option and drove 4 hours home in the snow at night which was terrifying.. they won't refund, but I won't give up. I was conned into believing I could park safely. What a terrible experience. I'd advise anyone to AVOID this awful dump in a very dangerous area.

It’s taken 50 plus yeas to write a review of any kind but I felt compelled to tell everyone to avoid this place at any cost! I could list many things but the room wouldn’t cool, the facilities and cleanliness is incredibly poor! It’s only benefit is its proximity to Heathrow, but avoid or you will most likely regret the decision.

Came with a friend for a spa weekend. Few hiccups during booking process like the spa slots and car parking. Communication wasn’t always easy. Modern and clean rooms, very comfortable beds. Restaurant is the downfall of the hotel - loud TVs during a relaxing dinner, waiter that doesn’t really speak English and an inconsistent Breakfast menu (or lack of, more to the point). Having said all that, we still enjoyed our weekend. Rooms are very nicely decorated, modern and sophisticated. Hotel staff were always trying their best to help and the masseuses at the spa were excellent! Jacuzzi and pool were lovely though the COVID induced booking procedure needs polishing. Albeit, the hotel offers real value for money and therefore all the little imperfections are worth the effort. And last but not least, the assistant general manager, Jaten, was so helpful and so attentive that he single handedly made our trip so much better to the point we will book again in the foreseeable future.

It's a pretty basic set up. Normal hotel offering. Nothing to rave about and over priced, but certainly not terrible food. The breakfast food is a bit lame. Sits out under hot lamps and is the same everyday. It's not a great area for food in general. Most of what the locale has to offer is fast food.
