Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Heston Hyde Hotel Hounslow 913121559 I had a lovely stay here in 2019 and was keen to stay again. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. On arrival the car park was full with large busses and cars and we were told we couldn’t park there. I explained we had a booking to stay the night and he opened the barrier and I had to double park in front of a bus. He explained the car would need to be moved as all the buses leave at 7.30am. Reception and welcome was pleasant but it was explained that no facilities were open and none of the restaurants either. We had to order food in and eat in our room. We only saw one other couple who were paying guests. The hotel was full of asylum seekers who were roaming the grounds and hanging around inside. Lots of rubbish bags in corridors and breakfast consisted of three cold eggs and two hash browns with a soup bowl of baked beans which was unsatisfactory and inedible. Very disappointing stay.

Good morning Gutheridge, Thank you for leaving your review. I am not able to find your name in our system so I am not sure how you booked but you should have been advised several times about the facilities being closed. Parking is on a first come first serve basis and is free so when the car park is full you will unfortunately have to park elsewhere but I am happy that our staff let you in to park. I apologise for the shortfalls you experienced. Best regards Jorgen Rasmussen General Manager

On arrival, the carpark was strangely empty save for a few cars and possibly twenty coaches. There were several (5 or 6) men hanging around outside smoking and talking. This hotel seemed to have no paying guests and looked like it was being used as a hostel. It did not look or feel like a regular hotel. Our room was dirty. It had a weird door inside that we could not open as it had a key lock, but it also opened away from our room so we couldn't bar it shut. It seemed to go nowhere as there were no other doors to it in the hallway. However, we did hear voices behind the door. Did they have access from their side? It all just seemed strange and off. After reading some Trip Advisor reviews the penny dropped and confirmed our suspicions. This hotel has guests but few paying guests. No amenities (restaurant, bar, pool, sauna and gym are closed till further notice). It was noisy with people shouting. With the security risks in our room and the general perception of the place we checked out immediately and went to another Heathrow hotel. I liked absolutely nothing about this hotel. I feel I was lied to by the hotel and by Priceline. I will be taking this further with them. Priceline should not advertise this hotel and the hotel should change it's status to a hostel and not rent rooms out.

Dear 914craigw, Thank you for leaving your review and for staying with us. I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your short stay with us. I have checked the duty manager logs and have also spoken to the people there were on duty both in the afternoon when you arrived, nights and the morning team. At no point did you raise your concerns and had you done so we would have moved you to another room. Hotels do have interconnecting rooms for families but they are not always used for families and when that is the case the two set of doors connecting the rooms are securely locked. You will have noticed that you could not access the other room either. Yours sincerely Jorgen Rasmussen General Manager

This Hotel is no longer a hotel its a centre to house government guests. Therefore should not be open to general public. Yes our room was fine but we were at different ends of the hotel to our daughters. They had strict instructions not to leave the room or answer the door. Many men just hanging about the corridors and outside. Rooms was clean and tidy, and as we were leaving early for a flight we just got our heads down for one night. A wedding was taking place on the ground floor but clearly no guests stayed over as the car park was empty at 7am. Please remove this hotel from your site until its returned to a Hotel.

Strange experience. Hotel seemed like an abandoned ship. Security on door. A few coaches in an empty overly large car park. Black bin bags scattered around a checkpoint area. Cling filmed breakfasts stacked on trolleys wheeled to bedroom doors. No facilities open due to ‘cleaning’. No other guests spotted. Felt like I was in a Scooby Doo episode.

Awful experience. Wasted my money. Dirty room, dirty shower, window that did not close, no bar, no leisure facilities, no restaurant, etc. Avoid this place at all cost. You will regret staying at this hotel. The pictures are probably when the hotel was new or been staged.

Dear Navigate27133979051, Thank you for leaving your review. I am very sorry that you chose not to stay but I am happy that you managed to find another hotel. Referring to the numerous emails between you and our reservation department you have been informed that the hotel did not charge your travel agent and you have also been informed several times that since you paid your travel agent the refund needs to come from there. Your booking came to us via Expedia and we have informed them that you did not stay. Once again here is the reference number from Expedia: ref: 112505050. I am very sorry but we are not able to assist you any further. Please contact your travel agent. Best regards Jorgen Rasmussen General Manager

We have stayed at the hotel in the past and genuinely never had any issues. I was surprised to learn on arrival that the hotel bar is closed. The restaurant is also closed and the pool etc is no longer available. We are a group of friends that travel to London from different areas of the country to catch up and attend the rugby at Twickenham. We have been doing this for many years and choose a hotel out of the city centre as quite happy to have a breakfast, travel in to the match, enjoy the atmosphere then head back to the hotel have a meal together and catch up with friends we have not seen for sometime. This change of for the hotel really put a cloud over trip. There were 16 of us and we had to leave the hotel and try and find somewhere which proved to be impossible. We ended up with the group being split up as everywhere was so busy. If we had know this we would have happily booked elsewhere and found somewhere more suitable with the facilities you expect from a decent hotel. The rooms were clean but we ended up ordering food in and just eating in our rooms which is just not what we had planned. The rooms were clean enough and functional. Beds were comfortable but had to reboot the tv to find the channels available. We worked out the code to be 0000. The staff were friendly and professional as we all arrived at different times. The free parking was a positive as we had a number of different vehicles. The cleaners were very good and we enjoyed a bit of banter so happily left them a tip. It’s just a real shame as we organise these get togethers every couple of years and sadly can’t see us returning again.

This has to be one of the poorest hotel I have stayed in. The room was very poor and unfinished the shower was terrible with no pressure and the none of the leisure facilities including the bar were open. (We were informed of this however assumed the reception bar would be open) Breakfast is poor and served in plastic plates to your room, no toast is provided. No additional tea or coffee is given even though I requested it and overall I would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Dear Sandiashsund, Thank you for leaving your review and for staying with us. We are aware of your dissatisfaction from the abusive and totally unacceptable way you treated our staff at 1.10 in the morning and complaining about the bar being closed. This in spite of having been made aware of it twice in your confirmation and again in another email right after your booking. It was also mentioned on the website you booked through.
