Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fabulous place! Warmly welcomed by staff when we arrived for our nights stay to see A Night at the Musicals with the wonderful Dean Chisnall! The room & tables were beautifully decorated, the food was excellent, the service brilliant & the entertainment top class! Gorgeous room with comfortable bed (though was wired due to the enotion of the evening & too much coffee before bed from the Nespresso machine in the room!) Breakfast was yummy with great choices & really good tea! Huge thank you to Helen & staff for making us welcome!

Lovely first time at this hotel. King club room, was on the small side but perfectly adequate for our 1 night stay. Good size bathroom with great shower and bath. Very clean, big comfy bed. Only suggestion I would make is to please add basic instructions and pics as to how to use the coffee machine to the information notes ,as instructions booklet is size of the new testament ! Wonderful breakfast, bar and restaurant areas looked very appealing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back, so peaceful , highly recommend a stay here !

The staff were pleasant and polite especially the young man who served us at breakfast who was exceptionally helpful. The food was good and the bathroom very clean. However, the room was a great disappointment. We had specifically asked for a quiet room as my wife is a poor sleeper and were assured by the receptionist when we arrived that our room on the first floor landing would be quiet. This was not the case. The Bravingdon (I think I've spelt that right) was a "junior suite" i.e. a room with a bathroom in the corner, was right by the main staircase and directly above the reception area and the front door. There were sounds of people talking and moving around downstairs from after 11 p.m. and starting at 6 a.m. It also had two windows, both with bright lights on all night outside which the curtains could not entirely keep out, one facing the road and one facing a gravelled car park. With a different room it could have been a very pleasant experience.

Me and my now husband had an amazing wedding day on 27.11.23, everything went to plan and even better than I imagined, Helen and her team were amazing! Kat was our wedding coordinator and was amazing, she helped us plan things we didn’t even know we needed to do. The food was amazing! We had so much positive feedback on how amazing the food was. I could not fault the team. We always stayed the night before and after the wedding, they were able to accommodate for extra people staying, breakfast was delicious. I would recommended this venue to anyone getting married

We stayed in the Kemp Suite with two teenage children for two nights and had a wonderfult experience with the room, facilities, food and service. The hotel also hosted our mother's funeral wake during this time and provided a fantastic cream tea to guests, ensuring a true celebration of her life. Everything about the hotel is extremely comfortable and feels luxurious without being over the top but by far the best thing about Tottington Manor is the people who work there. Everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We hope to stay again.

A fabulous lunch on Christmas Day with tasty, ample food and attentive, friendly service in a beautiful location at the foot of the South Downs. The meal was expensive at £150 per person excluding wine but the overall experience was better than other restaurants in the area.

I recently came for lunch with a friend. We were made to feel very welcome by Helen who showed us to our table. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and our food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive even though they had a function in one of the other rooms. Before leaving Helen swiftly dealt with a query I had for a future booking. We had an amazing time, thank you.

For the second year we chose to book Tottington Manor for a pre Christmas party dinner with friends. On arrival the building was beautifully decorated for Christmas inside and out. As before the food was lovely and the attentive service from the bar team, our waitress Evie and the Manor owners was superb throughout our five and a half hours at our table. A memorable evening thank you everyone involved.
