We stayed for 6 nights and have no complaints. Without exception the staff, mainly young and enthusiastic, were attentive, polite and efficient. Very comfortable beds and well appointed facilities. We asked for a quite room and were situated on the upper floor with a small window which helped to lessen the traffic noise. Useful gated car park for security much...

The hotel is great. Lovely rooms full of character and good bar and restaurant attached. If I was to make one small criticism it is a little noisy. I was on a ground floor room and as the windows were traditionally they let a lot of traffic noise in. I would stay here again but perhaps request a room away...

Some years before my stay in September 2015, I lived nearby this establishment when it was the Pope's Grotto and always thought that it would be an inviting place to check out and stay -- and it did not disappoint. The staff person checking us in was extremely helpful in getting us settled, and the room itself was very pleasant...

This is the second time I've stayed at the Alexander Pope and I/we will be back. The first time we stayed in a famliy room, on this most recent visit I was alone and stayed in a 'boutique room' on the second floor. Our youngest son is at St Mary's University which is a very short walk from the hotel...

Needed a hotel for an overnight stay and found this one on the banks of the Thames. Hotel has parking and a restaurant attached, the room allocated has all facilities that you need for a short stay, tea and coffee making and a mini bar. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom in our room was a wet room which...

I spent two nights there with my husband and I should admit that we both liked it quite a lot. The design of the room was great, and the bed was super comfy. I loved having a coffee machine in the room. There were a few issues with cleanliness like dirty mugs on the tea tray and stains on the...

I live locally and often come here with friends and family. The food is usually very good and a good choice of drinks. The staff are always welcoming and there's a relaxed atmosphere. One member of staff in particular I find to be most helpful, quick to serve and works hard at her job is Abbie.
