If you like a quirky place which mixes the old with the new this may be for you. Our room needed some serious investment and it did not help that we chose a bitterly cold weekend to stay. the en suite was very big buy the radiator was not functioning.

A cold blustery day on the West coast. Arrived for coffee first. Freshly brewed and homemade shortbread. Lovely. A walk along the coast towards Tintagel. Rugged, a real challenge, but spectacular. Then back for lunch. Two cod and chips. Nice chunky fillets, very tasty. Good portion of thick chips. Only slight downside was the batter on my fish could have...

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night break at the Riverside. We benefitted from the Hotel's "January sale" which offered B & B at £25 per person per night. As if this wasn't value enough we were upgraded to a larger family room which overlooked the picturesque harbour. Throughout our stay all the staff were extremely...

The rooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped (great hairdryer!). The breakfast was plentiful and unrushed which was great. We...

We decided to overnight in the beautiful village of Boscastle, and we are so glad we chose The Riverside. After being shown to our room, we were very pleased to have the view down the river to the harbour from the window, and the room was clean and spacious. There was a good selection on the room tray for drinks,...

Very welcoming and helpful advice on arrival. The room was immaculate as was the bathroom. Comfy bed and pillows. Ate in the spiders Web (lovely food) as restaurant only open at weekends during winter months. The breakfast was really well cooked and plentiful. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at the Riverside, it was fantastic. Thank you
