We have been to Lower House on several occasions over the past few years and wouldn't keep going back if we had ever been disappointed. Peter and Tessa are attentive and informative hosts, the property is old and tastefully decorated, beds comfortable and Peter is a delightful chef. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I've just come back from the most wonderful week at the Callington School of Art at Lower House guest house. Met by Peter on arrival and shown to a lovely old Georgian room to spend a week on a mixed media art course run by his lovely wife Tessa. The two are exquisite hosts who know how to balance relaxation...

The rooms are tastefully decorated and the house overall is very welcoming and has a friendly atmosphere. Peter and Tessa are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Fully recommend staying at this B&B.

Great old house, interesting decor for each room makes it feel homely and original. We stayed so that we could visit the nearby restaurant, without appreciating what Tessa and Peter have to offer. Friendly and accommodating, we thoroughly enjoyed B&B - would definitely recommend it and will promote to our art- loving friends too!

Very nice week spent with Tessa (artist, teacher) and Peter (excellent chef) at their guest house. Very well thought out week with interesting field trips, artist's studio and lovely food. Great place to meet like minded people.

Great house, friendly couple, good breakfast, gave us lift too restaurant. We were 7 cyclists and we were looked after, fed well and taxied, could not ask for more. Perfect stop off for cyclists especially doing Lands End to John O Groats.

This is a small guest house in the centre of Callington. The owners, Peter and Tessa, made us feel very welcome and the rooms were large and comfortable. The breakfasts in the morning were made to a very high standard. Our king sized bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The only downside is that there is no parking...
