Detailed Reviews
Stayed in the Chrysalis Cottage for 2 weeks (15/05 - 30/05/2021) and while the weather wasn't great during our stay the accommodation more than compensated. The cottage is really well furnished, tastefully decorated with a modern kitchen and bathroom and (more than) comfortable bedroom area. For 2 adults and small dog it was ideal, and can actually accommodate 4. Had the weather been better, outside there is ample seated area, firepit and the general grounds of Butterbee House are lovely with great views of the local countryside.
The location is great with some lovely beaches nearby.
Linda was a great host and made us feel most at home. We were really glad to choose this accommodation, would recommend it to others and would certainly stay there again.

We visited the Aviary in July and what a fantastic find! The cottage was tastefully and beautifully decorated, spotless with superb views. The host Linda was very friendly and very quick to respond to any queries.

We have just spent an idyllic week in The Aviary. Oh what an amazing place! Everything was perfect, a stunning property in an amazing location, beaches, walks and National Trust properties all within easy reach, even the weather was kind to us. Thank you Linda for everything, we have some wonderful memories of our stay with you and will be back next year.

We visited Butterbee house and stayed at the Aviary with our daughter and family to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. The cottage was amazing, beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped. We had been before in August 2021 so knew it was fab. We have rebooked for next spring. The grounds are lovely and all the children loved the freedom and the nearby park. Highly recommend

Amazing location. Central to Devon and Cornwall. Cheryl’s very comfortable and hosts could not do anymore to make our stay more perfect.
We had two dogs with us who loved the grounds and local streams and walks.
Visited too many places to list as extremely convenient location to explore Devon and Cornwall

Stayed at the Aviary at Butterbee House in June to celebrate a family birthday. Accommodation is absolutely stunning, a real home away from home. It has everything you could need and is pure luxury. We have been several times and it's my go to place for holidays in Cornwall. Kids and adults alike loved it. Great location too for exploring beautiful Cornwall. Have already booked for next year! Linda is amazing too, 100% recommend 😍

We stayed in the Beehive, self catering, for 2 weeks, our son was getting married in the area, it made a great base for the family. It is very comfortable and well equipped - I managed to make and decorate 130 cupcakes for the reception!
Linda and Dan are very friendly and welcoming, they helped make our stay really enjoyable
It is a great base for exploring Devon and Cornwall.

We were welcomed by Linda and Dan who were very friendly and couldn't have done any more for us. The accommodation was very stylish, very clean, and my 92 year old father appreciated how very peaceful the location was. Long may Linda and Dan continue to run this little gem which we were very lucky to find. We will definitely be seeing them again!
