Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We’ve just had a great week at Fenteroon. We came across this lovely little find via one of the dog friendly accommodation sites on Facebook. We stayed in the Swallows accommodation which was a great size for the two of us and would be ample for a family of four. All towels and linen were supplied and we treat ourselves to the cream team welcome pack which had local plain scones, local jam and of course Roddas Clotted Cream. Unfortunately we didn’t meet Helen but when we contacted her by phone nothing was a problem and she was very helpful. The location of Fenteroon is in a nice and quiet part of Camelford. Close by are plenty of public footpaths including a lovely walk upstream on the Camel river into Camelford town centre. Staying at Fenteroon means you are close to all North Cornwall towns and attractions so plenty to choose from. Padstow,Bude, dog friendly Widemouth bay and Roughtor. Can highly recommend Peckish for fish and chips, the Nepalese Gurkha Restaurant for Indian Takeaway. Breakfast at Boscastle farm shop is a must as is a trip to Bossiney Tea Rooms for a great cream tea with lovely scones (closes 26/9 though :-( ) Would stay here again when I’m sure we’ll return to North Cornwall. Thank you. Carl & Tracey

Helen popped up on Facebook after I posted on the Dog Friendly Cottages page looking for North Cornwall 5* Dog Friendly Cottage. Her prompt response with website link was just the beginning. Communication was excellent. On arrival we had booked the breakfast hamper (£25) which kept us going for our 5 night stay. This was in addition to the tea, coffee, milk etc. Washing up liquid, powder and dishwasher tablets and bin bags all in plentiful supply. Bedding and Towels spotless. Slept very well. Furnishings are top notch. Lots of useful information, board games and books in TV Cabinet. Lovely outside enclosed space for dog (Shippen) with patio furniture. Great field for exercising the dog very nearby. We didn't cook as there were lovely places in nearby Padstow, Boscastle, Tintagal and Port Isaac but there would have been no problem with utensils provided as there were most things that you would need. Helen was very helpful (we didn't get to meet Nigel). For dog owners information.... There was a towel and a water bowl provided. (Thank you for the welcome dog treat) . A very minor suggestion I would make, if any, is coat hooks by the front door although there are some in the heated cupboard in the bedroom. We found that we made a 'dumping area' just inside the front door. We had a lovely stay with you, we would love to come back and I would have no hesitation in recommending Fenteroon.

Just returned from a fabulous stay in Yew Tree Barn which was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. When we arrived there was milk in the fridge for us & biscuits,a towel & a throw for our dog. Extremely comfy furniture & fabulous king size bed with lovely bedding. Lovely views of open countryside & many walks from the barn for the dog, he especially loved the walk along the River Cam to Camelford. Fenteroon Farm is ideally situated for many of the tourist spots in Cornwall & we visited many lovely places from Bude right down to St Ives including Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle,Padstow,Jamaica Inn,Looe & Polperro. It was peaceful & quiet in Fenteroon Farm & the barn was so comfy & welcoming. Our friends recommended it to us & I would have no hesitation in recommending it myself. Thank you Helen & Nigel it was perfect. Sue & Nigel & Rusty

This is a lovely high quality selection of holiday cottages. Just off the main road, easy to get to all places on the north Cornish coast. Easy to get to Wadebridge, Bodmin and nearby Camelford. These cottages have everything you need including washing machine and dishwasher. The views towards open farmland, trees and River Camel, with country walks on your doorstep. These are the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Great value for money. Recommend.

Just returned from a fabulous if soggy visit to our smashing little holiday barn conversion. Stayed in Yew Tree which was delightful… fully equipped with everything you need for a real home from home experience. Cosy and warm with modern fixtures and fittings, plus a very comfortable king size bed in a generous sized bedroom. Very peaceful location surrounded by open countryside, great walks on your doorstep.. the dog loved it. Highly recommended.. Only slight issue was the driveway down to the barns which is showing signs of wear and needs some TLC which the owners have said is on their list of to do’s…

We can't speak highly enough of this delightful development for our recent one week stay in North Cornwall. We booked 'The Shippen', which is a one bedroom property, with open plan living area with adjoining bedroom/bathroom/utility area with a useful washer/drier. This was perfect for us and our little dog, with the owners providing him with some treats upon arrival! Fenteroon Farm is a quiet space to unwind and has the feel of being miles away in the country, yet is just off the main road through Camelford, which is ideally suited for many of the tourist spots in North Cornwall. It also has the bonus with a lovely river walk to the Town Centre which those with dogs would especially enjoy! It is a credit to the owners who have made a delightful renovation of this farm, that offers full of character and has everything you need and they couldn't be more helpful. This offers excellent value for money and would have no hesitation of using this again should we decide to revisit the area. Darren & Melanie Hoggett + Bertie
