Very relaxing 4 days, highly recommend. Very welcoming. Great location to take walks. Hot tube is an added bonus as watching the stars was absolutely amazing. Fully equipped with everything needed, just bring yourselves and some shopping.
We stayed in Gillyflower which was well equipped, comfortable and with a secluded garden (including hot tub) and terrace overlooking fields. The hosts are there if you need them but otherwise leave you to it, which was perfect for us. The pool and sauna were a great option on rainy days, and we loved visiting the farm animals. We enjoyed exploring the local walks to Golant and Fowey (be prepared for steep hills) and driving to local beaches. This is a great location to explore all of Cornwall, but there is plenty to do and see nearby, and the cottage was lovely to return to every day. Covid precautions were clear and sensible, and we were very glad to be able to take our holiday in the UK. We are already looking to book again soon. We would highly recommend.
Lovely farm but I wouldn’t recommend dog(s) to stay there as no green garden for them to sit or do their business. Only small paving with too many scrubs which need cutting back or remove the scrubs n put artificial grass down at the back area. Dog friendly word is different from dog allowed as nothing provided for dogs like bed bowls etc as proper dog friendly places do this. When checked in, someone didn’t pick up their dog mess which I did. If want use the green space, it’s under 2 mins walk. It’s sloped up with no gate so not safe for dog to run around. No flat dog friendly paddock. House itself is nice but not bright enough in the evening. Not good for people with poor vision or deaf. Need brighter bulbs. Toilet in each room except the long single room. No toilet upstairs which isn’t good for people with less mobility. Sofa area so low and not good for older people or people with less mobility. Front side only one street light not bright enough as need other one on other side. Hot tub ok but tree branches hanging out which need cutting back. Brighter spotlight needed as too dark. Stone steps to swimming/sauna, games room is slippery as no hand rail plus the first step is deep to the 2nd one. Pool table is 50p per game which should be free. Table tennis table area need cleaning up not safe playing around there. Pub isn’t a walking distance stated in their book as it’s down the village in the bottom which is very dark as 25 mins walk there n 45 mins walk back up steep hill. Would need car to get around Ok for family but not dog friendly …
We had the last week of the summer holidays staying in Mulberry cottage - well, barn actually! What a great place! The Mulberry is extremely spacious, very VERY comfortable and equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all downstairs and are gorgeous . We took our dog, there’s an enclosed garden which is great for or bichon. Their hot tub is a nice touch too. The farm itself is so pretty . Our children enjoyed looking at the hens, geese, sheep (only one) rabbit and Guinea pig. We bought fresh eggs, tomatoes and home made jam from the farm. The eggs were still warm! There’s loads for children to do. The children enjoyed the little swimming pool, table tennis, pool and the library . Wi fi is great on the farm. We even logged into our Netflix on the tv! Simon and Debbie were there if we needed them , both really nice and helpful. We found the location to be great for exploring Cornwall . We loved Fowey and Polperro. There are lots of dog friendly beaches. We took our dog everywhere with us and found Cornwall to be EXTREMELY dog friendly....I was quite amazed! I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this place. It’s just lovely! …
We cannot recommended this place highly enough. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything. The secluded garden has its own hot tub and was perfect for us especially with taking our dogs. The house is ‘upside down’ with the open plan living room / dining room and kitchen upstairs and 3 bedrooms downstairs (2 en-suite) along with the family bathroom. Plenty to do, games room, play park , swimming pool, table tennis. Even an area where you can meet the chickens, ducks and sheep. The location of the farm is perfect to explore the area. So much to see and do. The seal sanctuary (Helston) and Mevagissey harbour are a must, along with a couple of hours boat hire from Fowey. We will definitely be going back.
