We have just returned from our 3rd visit to Penellen. (Which in itself speaks volumes!!). Accommodation beautiful, spotlessly clean with THE most amazing view! Barbara & Paul are just lovely🥰nothing is too much trouble and always greeted with a smile. Although the Penellen is now accommodation only, there is a ‘continental’ type option available - cereal box, juice, cereal bar and yogurt. (Fresh milk too. There are places nearby for hot breakfast if you wish! There is an honesty shop in reception where you can purchase lots of little goodies!! And a lovely conservatory to sit & have your breakfast /read, or just lol at the stunning view! Honestly one of the nicest places we’ve stayed! We don’t normally revisit places we’ve stayed but this was our 3rd time!! Well worth a visit ❤️

I cant begin to put into words how fantastic our stay at the Penellen was! We stayed in room 1, beautiful room, the view is stunning (added bonus of a viewing scope to look over to St Ives and the fishing boats) the shower is to die for (hubby now wants one at home) Barb and Paul are superb hosts, so welcoming and friendly. We were the last guests of the season, but they treated us like we were the first, nothing was too much trouble, we felt more like we were staying with friends, even though it was the first time we had ever met them! We will definitely be booking again

We stayed at Penellen for two wonderful weeks it was our second stay and it did not disappoint, our room looked out over St Ives bay and watching the sunsets and sun rises was incredible, our room was a great size spotlessly clean with everything we could wish for and having a fridge was great, we had a couple of wet mornings but our room was nice to sit and relax in until the weather improved. Breakfast was really good quality ingredients and plenty for even the bigger appetites. There is a conservatory for guests to use and picnic tables in the garden that is nice if guests want to sit and have a takeaway. We have been visiting the area for many years and nothing compares to Penellen

We were lucky enough to book the Penellen at relatively short notice and were not disappointed. The room was super clean with comfy bed and added bonus of fridge stocked with water and milk for teas/coffee. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and clearly local produce cooked to perfection. Delicious!! Can't recommend enough.

It’s a lovely b&b overlooking one of the UK’s best beaches. The owners were very friendly, room was very nice with amazing views of the beach and sea. Nice touch was the mini fridges in the rooms and fresh milk in a mini bottle which you could have topped up each day at breakfast time. Breakfast was nice, you do have to fill out an order form the night before. There’s a nice garden area with seats that you can use, we sat out one evening watching the sun set. They even re-froze our ice blocks for our cool box so we could take pasties back for our family. It’s the last year it’s being run as a b&b, I gathered, so if you want to go, get in quick. There are holiday apartments too, not our thing, but I imagine if they are, they’re just as nice as the b&b rooms. We had a really enjoyable stay there

I can not recommend this hotel enough. We stayed in room 1 which looks out over the sea, incredible veiws and sunset. Access to the beach from the property just a short walk. The hosts are lovely and made our stay that little bit more special. Breakfast each morning drinks are already when you get downstairs. There is a mini honesty shop in the lobby, with some great things for gifts for people. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to cornwall. Just an all around pefect location..

Stayed with my sister for 2 nights on our south west coast path walk. Barbara and her husband are very kind, everything is organised to make it very comfortable for the guests. All you need is available even drinks snacks and cosmetic utilities. The room was very well equipped, nice furniture and an overwhelming view from the little private balcony of the beach and even over to St. Ives bay. Breakfast prepared with love on order, very good quality, nice fresh fruits, a sort of very good juices, a variety of main warm breakfast to choose, also on very good quality. We felt absolutely well at the penellen, would really like to come back one day. The beach and the whole surrounding are beautiful. We enjoyed walking the coast path very much. As the penellen b&b is located right at the path, this was the perfect accommodation for us! Thank you so much Barbara and Paul ! We felt you have a lot of experience and high motivation to make it a perfect stay for your guests. We caught the bus back to Newquay from the busstop which is just a 3 minutes walk away from the B&B. Another great advantage ! Although we had to change buses 3 times on our return, everything worked without problems
