Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you’re looking for the “Proper Cornwall” you’ve just found it ! We have just spent a week at the idilc Polladras Holiday Park and have to say, it’s just about as rural as you are going to get. Set in the heart of the countryside in deepest Cornwall, you can enjoy quiet and beautiful dark evenings owing to the fact there is hardly any light pollution at all and wake up to the lovely distant call of a rooster from neighbouring fields. During our stay we took in a lot of the sites, none of which were too far for us to drive from the campsite. St Michaels mount, The Eden Project, St Ives, lands end to name but a few. We booked a premium camping pitch as we have quite a large air tent and we weren’t disappointed when we arrived. Our pitch ( pitch 1 ) was bordered on 3 sides by hedges which gave us a private and secluded feel. Fresh drinking water from our own tap and 10 amp electric hook up was very convenient. The on site facilities are very good, powerful warm showers, separate ladies and gents toilets, family wash rooms, laundry and washing up. You name it - it’s got it ! - including a small games / arcade room which my partner and I spent a few evenings in playing pool, air hockey and even had a try at the coin pushers - we had a lot of fun. We would thoroughly recommend this site to anyone wishing to explore Cornwall or just want to relax in a very well equipped camping and caravan Holiday Park. We will definitely be back in the future. 10/10 James and Hannah

This is truly a fantastic campsite, spotless toilets and shower facilities including separate family facilities. Super warm power showers, laundry facilities, washing up room and a games room and play area for younger guests . The owners, John & Rachael cannot do enough to help and are so friendly. John even helped us early one morning by delivering a forgotten suitcase to Penzance harbour where we were waiting to board The Scillonian. They genuinely work so hard to make your stay as good as it can be.

We have just return for another perfect couple of nights at Polladras, we live in Cornwall so why go anywhere else! The site is just perfect for families, we stayed in the furnished bell tent, very clean and well equipped. This site has everything you need for a great family holiday! The play area is lovely and the children loved the games room and nature walk. This is our second year staying and we are already planning next years stay!

Excellent camping We arrived on Friday, the weather was awful and the gust if wind was reaching over 60mph, we decided to take a static caravan (only one available). The owners, Rachel and John were really helpful with information and tried to accommodate us in this weather conditions. The camp site has everything what you need for a family, from family wet room to laundrette. Only, one thing is missing is a little shop with essentials as Lidl, Aldi and Tesco are a little further away. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Best seasonal pitch site in South Cornwall. John and Rachael are so accomodating and helpful. Always smiling with a great sense of humour and fun. Perfect for a base to find beautiful beaches and walks. Michelle is hard working and always friendly. So quiet at night and great place to see the stars. Love it here!

Family-friendly site with very friendly and helpful staff and with outdoor play area and games room with decent facilities. There could be more toilets and larger blocks for the amount of pitches and perhaps slightly larger pitches, however it’s a great mid-range camp site and overall good value for money. Staff were all excellent.

Absolutely fantastic camping park, so much so we are looking at booking again next year After a nightmare time trying to pitch our own tent in a storm, all of the poles on our tent snapped. John was able to get us in a static caravan for the first two nights and a bell tent for the rest of the week for an incredible price. He was more than helpful and really helped us out of a hole! I would definitely recommend this park for families as there is plenty to do to keep the kids entertained. Showers and toilets are cleaned three times a day and absolutely spotless Thanks for all the help guys see you next year!

What a lovely little campsite - just what we were looking for. Quiet, spacious pitches, family run, great for kids and good quality facilities. We had some rather horrendous weather so it was good that there was a washer and dryer for some of our bedding that got wet. The kids liked the games room and once the weather dried out, had great fun in the play area which has a good variety of things for young and older kids. We were in the top field (Hill View) and it was a nice short walk to the kitchen/showers/toilets etc. which was great. The location is also well situated as there is a nice pub down in Breage (although not sure if it does food), and not far to Lizard point or Lands end for some exploring/coastal walks. Not far away is Rinsey Beach (tidal) which we really enjoyed being away from the crowds. All in all a top location and campsite, very well run by John and his wife who were on hand if we needed anything. Highly recommended.

Polladras is a fantastic find. Set in a secluded location, but only 4 mile from Porthleven 8 miles from Penzance and a short drive to the Lizard its a perfect destination. The owners, John and Rachel could not be more welcoming and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The site itself caters for all ,it is friendly and has a homely feel about it. We have been holidaying in Cornwall for the past 16 years and we hope that the next 16 will be at Polladras. We could not reccomend more highly. John & Rachel, thanks for a wonderful experience. Hope to see you next year. Tony & Sandra
