Three older chaps on cycle route around Cornwall slunk into Elysian Fields after a nightmare day pushing bikes over the moors followed by a deluge of biblical proportions. The local postie helped us on our way where his sister was a manager. The owner could not have been more helpful, offering to wash and dry our filthy gear and the accommodation was first class. Would go out of our way to stay there again. Thanks
We were wet and muddy after a day cycling off-road, the owner, Jackie, was very welcoming and helpful from the 1st moment. Beautifully appointed accommodation and superb breakfast. Not cheap, but well worth the money. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Just spent a week at Elysian fields with my mum. Jackie and her staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright and had everything we needed. There was a great choice at breakfast and the food was freshly cooked, hot and delicious. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Jackie, Jayne, Debbie and team (and hugs to Roxy and Zoe) xx
Jackie is a wonderful host and very kindly fitted myself and my daughter in at the last minute, as we had to return to Cornwall to collect our dog's ashes who very sadly had to be put to sleep whilst on holiday in the area a few weeks ago. The bed and breakfast was lovely, light and airy and had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing nature about it. The continental breakfast was perfectly ample for us. We also enjoyed a vegetarian meal at the onsite tavern which was delicious. We would gladly stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely dog friendly place we stayed in the bnb and would come back and try the camping as it was so well done. Tech room was great, comfortable clean with nice touches Lovely tavern for food, really friendly people and well thought out.
We loved staying at this B and B - Jackie, the owner, and her staff, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, lovely and cosy, spotlessly clean and the bed really comfy. Breakfast yummy too! We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Wish we had found this B & B earlier. We have never stayed in B & B before, but this is as good as if not better than many hotels, we had a ground floor room with easy access to outside. The room was beautiful decor and very clean. Fresh milk too. Hosts were charming and the separate bar building with large TV served drinks and pub type food, scampi, hamburgers, and specials. All cooked to order and very tasty. If you are looking for a campsite then it has lots of space and room for children to play. We have moved down here and lost our kettle in the move so they kindly lent us one until we could get into town to get one that evening, keeping our removal men happy. Thank you very much Jackie & Tony
We set out to camp but after a very windy first night (a collapsed tent and gazebe) the lovely hosts Jackie and Tony came to the rescue offering our group of 4 two of their B&B rooms. They went above and beyond to ensure the rest of our stay was comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. They allowed us full access to their facilities including their dining room, BBQ and living room. We were even able to watch sports on the TV! Highly recommend Elysian Fields to families, couples or anyone looking for a nice place to stay when in Cornwall.
We originally booked a 3 night stay at the Elysian Fields campsite but on our first night due to gale force winds our tent collapsed and so did our friend’s tent! we would of had to drive 4 hours back to Bristol the next day and our one holiday of the year would have been ruined, but In the morning we let the campsite manager know what had happened and the B&B owners Tony & Jackie said we could stay at the B&B for our remaining 2 nights. They literally saved our holiday! We stayed in their beautiful double rooms on the ground floor and each couple enjoyed having an en-suite bathroom (that shower was like heaven after the horrible night in the tent!) Tony & Jackie were so incredibly kind to us and showed so much generosity, they really couldn’t of done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay! They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us throughout our stay, and we loved having good chats with them it really added a personal touch to our stay. The beds are great, the rooms beautifully decorated, the grounds are beautiful, the dogs (Roxy & Zoey) are the cutest!! Tony’s Tavern was our port in a storm and we loved having drinks, watching sports on the huge TV and ordering enough chips to last us a lifetime! Elysian Fields are following the covid-19 guidelines very well; social distancing, face masks were worn by guests and hand sanitizer was available at building entrances. Tony & Jackie managed to save our holiday and we’re leaving with great memories and the desire to come back again! We would highly recommend staying at Elysian Fields B&B for your next holiday in Cornwall!…
We stayed over the long bank holiday weekend - two of us in the B and B and two in a tent! My daughter and son in law had visited before and had recommended we all go back - it was soo good! Jackie and Tony are the very hands on owners supported by Dan, Kerry and other amazing staff. They all go above and beyond normal service to make sure your stay is as lovely as can be. Site facilities - toilets - showers - shop and Tony’s tavern are all excellent and the B and B room was spacious, very well maintained - comfortable sleep - a nespresso machine was an absolute bonus for us - the lounge was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was great - fantastic quality too. As we sat in the tavern (fully licensed bar) and enjoyed a drink after a long day out touring the area around - you could hear how helpful all the staff were with everyone. They certainly go above and beyond what would be expected - they had had heavy rains when we arrived and the stories of staff being out through the night in the winds and rain to help people move tents to more protected areas was amazing. It is a great location for touring we visited lands end - minack theatre - at ives - Carbis bay - Portreath marazion and St Michaels mount and we hardly ever drove for more than half an hour... We will definitely be recommending to everyone... …
