It has often been said that Rosecraddoc Manor must be the nearest thing to paradise. Rosecraddoc Manor features a variety of properties surrounding the historic Manor House to cater for all tastes whether classic, modern, cosy or cottage style is what you are looking for. It is Grade II listed, along with two bridges in the grounds, and has now been converted into these attractive apartments and villas, making a perfect base for your Cornish holiday.Within 4 miles you can explore Bodmin Moor, where you can go horse riding, walking or try various water sports on Sibleyback Lake which include wind surfing, dinghy sailing and canoeing. To the south, lovely sandy beaches and pretty fishing harbours lie along the coast. Several excellent golf courses are also in the area. For evening relaxation, there is a licensed bar The Village Inn, serving good food just 300 yards from the Manor door, open evenings in the Summer and other good country pubs and restaurants can be found locally.• Fairytale setting in 38 acres of beautiful Manor Grounds• Some villas suitable for disabled people • Saunas are in most properties. • Jacuzzi or spa bath in some properties • Free private all-weather tennis court • Free private coarse fishing available all year • Four-poster beds are in some properties• 11 miles from the beaches of the South Cornwall coast

Our 6th visit and we love it. After our visit in June we thought where should we go for our 10th wedding anniversary and the answer was obvious! Love Liam cottage and my walk every evening round the lake. Peaceful and relaxing as soon as we hear the waterfall and the gravel under the tyres as we arrive. Lovely gift for our anniversary too which was a nice surprise on arrival...and of course booked for June 2024!

On arrival the accommodation looked clean and upstairs looked like it had been updated, new furniture, curtains, also recently painted etc.We paid a little more and picked Riverview 2, because it had the facility of a private sauna and a jacuzzi ,out on the balcony was a lovely stream running by. View was lovely even though little disappointed thought there was more 'land' to see. Lake was lovely but too coved in lilies and weed to really fish .All seemed fine until we went to use the jacuzzi it did Not work, so thought we would try sauna...switched it on and seconds later it tripped the fuse and all lights upstairs went out.Rang managers Steve and Julie explained what happened and response was " we are having problems with the sauna and as for the jacuzzi will get someone out but it be at least a week"....that's it, No help, No coming to see, No apology Nothing...we had to go to fuse box turn things back on ourselves! Disappointed was an understatement, it tainted our holiday as that's why we picked this accommodation and to find out they knew there were problems and didn't tell us even though we meet Julie on arrival..had a few other niggles but felt mangers were very unhelpful so didn't bother! The management team represent Rosecraddoc Manor but because of them would NOT return here. Should have left feeling relaxed and rested but left basically feeling ripped off! Just to note you are left a letter asking to leave £30 in cash in a envelope on the table for electricity as its not included in booking fee! Seems very odd! We paid by card directly to the owner Alex. If its a flat fee why is it not included in total amount, just dosnt seem right!!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Riverbank home which was amazing. Everything was spotless & clean throughout and the rooms were huge, and what we thought was a cupboard turned out to be a sauna. The manor grounds are stunning and gives that totally relaxing feel as soon as you drive in. 5 stars from us and cannot wait to come back next year.

On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived early. Our disabled Accommodation was lovely but downstairs bed was very uncomfortable and a quilt had to be placed on top of mattress to make comfortable. The wet room , which was needed every day, did not drain away therefore leaving the whole floor wet and causing a slip hazard especially for my disabled husband. When I mentioned this to the manager ( Julie) and suggested a squeegy mop her response was ‘ its only designed for a quick sharp shower but you could always buy one!’ Also did not have DVD/ CD player or sauna as advertised.

Once again, for the 5th time, a brilliant holiday at Rose Craddock. This time stayed in one of the Villas with my wife, son and his girl-friend. This villa had a Sauna in the main bedroom and had everything we needed for a brilliant holiday. Only disappointment was that the Bar and restaurant has now closed but with Liskead a short drive away, not a real problem. I could write about the walks nearby, tennis court, fishing lake and the grounds filled with a wide variety of shrubs and trees; the waterfall and stream , but I would urge you to have a stay and find these for yourself. And as for the owners, Alex and Clive will make you most welcome.

We stayed in the Foulston apartment of the manor house (an upgrade kindly provided for our wedding anniversary along with a card) and it was very spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful views of the lake and grounds from the windows and the bed and pillows gave great sleep. Had a wonderful stay and enjoyed fishing where there are some gaps in the water lilies. An idea for further improvement would be a small welcome pack: maybe a dishwasher tablet or two, a pint of milk and either a little cake or loaf of bread.

We have just returned from yet another fantastic holiday in this wonderful place. We stayed in Lakeview 2 as we had my elderly parents with us. This is our 4th visit in this accommodation and we cannot fault it. From the moment we arrived we found the accommodation spotless with the essentials all to hand for a weeks stay. The grounds are well kept and with the sun shining, it was truly a very relaxing spot sitting on our balcony. The location is spot on for travelling around both Cornwall & Devon, with some fantastic local pubs serving wonderful food. Both the owners and managers are very accommodating and helpful. It truly is an amazing location and we’ve already booked for 2024 which will be our 18th stay @ Rosecraddoc Manor. Paul & Alison

Visited the manor grounds to visit the lake and fish for carp. The lake is beautiful and well maintained. The fish are in excellent condition and Clive clearly looks after them all. They are great fighting fish and the the largest we have caught so far is 7.5lb. They also have specimen roach so far we have caught one at over 2lbs.

We stayed for two nights and this is our experience. For two nights for 4 people at £160 through hotels.com it seemed very reasonable, and it was for that price. However, on arrival there was a letter on the table saying there was a £30 charge for electricity asking for it to be left in cash on the table when we left - we did not leave it as it wasn’t mentioned in our original booking contract - we checked with Hotels.com and they knew nothing about it either. We phoned the manager straight away who claimed he didn’t know anything about it. This soured the experience somewhat. As i say for £160 it was reasonable but could have been better- and we’d have been happy to pay more. My overall feeling is the managers and maintenance crew here have given up. It’s a lovely old building but the public areas are more like a junk shop and very tatty the rooms had flys all around the lights and experience tells me they’ve got a fly infestation in the roof space. There were lots of things not working, light bulbs, heaters, broken towel rail, bath panel broken, loo seat loose, windows painted shut, curtain rail about to fall down etc and someone had made some wood shutters out of rough sawn garden timber that were horrendous - its like the whole place had been botched by a very poor DIYer. The weirdest thing was opening a door in the bedroom to find a tiny little sauna. Overall reasonable for the money but could be so much more. The managers should be ashamed and if i was the owner I’d be having a fit about the state of the place. A great shame as it could be an amazing place!
