The place was nice and room were enough for 18 of us with 3 babies. Room were sufficient. And within km walk down the hill you can go for beach walk . You can enjoy food along near local pub or buy groceries near tesco and cook in big kitchen where they got all utensil. We had a BBQ with lovely sunset view. Visit japanese garden near to it. Good break for all of us. Will definitely go back if happen to.

There was 18 of us that stayed and everyone of us will be going again. Pippa is really welcoming and easy to talk to. We were worried that we might disturb her and the neighbours but she said we can be as noisy as we like. The house was really nice with a heavy duty kitchen more that capable of catering for 18+ people. There rooms were spacious and the living area was huge-great for a big gathering. It even had a mini bar. The garden was big with new and fire pit which allowed us to stay out side for a long time. It's only 400m to a great beach and short distance to a pub that didn't really nice food. We want to go there every year. Thanks pippa, From Tom

We have just had a fabulous weeks holiday at Bluebay House. Very well equipped to stay in and cook all week. More glasses and cups that for 17 people we never ran out. Such a well equipped kitchen and what they didn’t have the hosted provided. The views were beautiful from the dining area and bay seated window. There was a great little bar to stack our xmas beverages behind. Excellent TV in separate lounge area. We were all adults and some of the sleeping was definitely for children but every room has a bath or shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Great for the dogs as warm shower to wash straight off the beach and hard floors in living areas. Great log fire with endless fuel. Three fridges to fill. The oven cooked our xmas dinner perfectly. Internet was very intermittent but we believe it was not the fault of the property but the junction box for the area. So don’t plan to work from there. A fab holiday for a large group, winter or summer.

We have had a wonderful week staying at Blue Bay. We were a party of 19 of various ages. The house fitted everyone very comfortably. It has a really homely feel. The kitchen was very well equipped with pretty much every appliance you could need. The location was just perfect with a amazing view of the ocean that could not be beat. We stay in Mawgan Porth every couple of years and we will definitely be returning to Blue Bay.

There were 18 of us in the blue bay house and we had a week which we will all treasure. Brilliant number of bathrooms to bedrooms which kept all the adults very happy especially and the teenagers mainly washed in the sea. The warm outdoor shower is very useful after surfing and an outdoor hanging space for wetsuits. we found it easiest to run down to the beach in the car with all the boards etc as slightly too far to walk with all the beach gear for us. Great shop in the village for croissants every morning (freshly delivered at 8am), but otherwise we strongly recommend you take the hosts, Pippa and James up on their offer to cater. They cooked delicious meals with choices suiting all and at all prices. They even did us a very memorable BBQ on the beach but the fish BBQ with half lobsters and scallops was the biggest hit with all of us. On the day it was a bit more overcast we went to the go karting track which is five minutes down the road and that was great fun (best go at the end of the day when its not as busy). There is crazy golf in the village but we spent most of our time surfing and body boarding or sun bathing in the garden. The girls spent a wonderful day in the scarlet hotel spa which is very good value and the view from one of their hot tubs with a glass of prosecco very special. all of us loved this place. Pippa and James make you feel very welcome and there is such a happy vibe that we were all really really sad to leave. you can hire everything you need in this village which is only a ten minute drive from Padstow for delicious fudge.

Clean, comfortable with a fabulous balcony. The apartment had everything one would need and although a tad old fashioned it had charm. Great location overlooking the porth & if you don't mind a walk up a steep hill then shops, pubs & the beach are just a 10 minute walk away. Weather was fabulous & Mawgan Porth is gorgeous. We will return to skylark & bring the kids & dog to this perfect place. Our only gripe was the shower, the pressure is really poor & the shower unit teeny. Great value for a wonderful location.

I'm just catching up with my reviews but we had the most amazing stay with our doggy, We were meant be staying for 7 nights in Skylark but we were lucky that the kids had just retuned back to school so were able to extend to 9 nights. The Management are on the phone if you need them but they are very unobtrusive and relaxed. We had great directions found on the website and found Blue Bay Lodges easily and parked up with no problems, key code sent by email, everything was so easy! The Lodge was very clean and we enjoyded just sitting outside on our balcony! Just down the same road is The Scarlett Hotel which also has great views and expensive drinks but you can visit there with your dog and sit on the roof terraces (no kiddies allowed tho!) Mawgan Porth beach was lovely and dog friendly year round and my hubby even got discounted surf lessons as we were staying at the Bluebay. It's a great central place for getting around and we would defintly stay at Blue Bay again when visiting Cornwall. I actually work for an airline but was fed up with airports and getting on planes and in all the years that we've done this staying at Blue Bay with our dog was one of our best holidays! The manager even sent me my night light back to me that I'd left behind in the plug socket which was much appreciated when you work shifts and have to creep about at home! We managed to visit Tintagel & Port Isaac, Falmouth & St Mawes, St Ives and Lands End, Mousehole & Penzance, Padstow, Rock and all the local surrounding beaches.

We stayed at Lanherne , the biggest of the cottages on lower lane . It sleeps 10 and has a lovely upstairs kitchen/ diner/ sitting room with beautiful views over Mawgan Porth . There was a wood burner and wood was provided for the week which ensured the cottage was really warm and cosy. Unfortunately we could not work out how to t Use the underfloor heating downstairs which meant the wet room floor stayed wet much of the time and the rooms were a little cold underfoot . When the sun is shining the upstairs room is really fantastic as you can open the large sliding windows and warm sunlight pours in during the afternoon and early evening. The kids loved the garden and zip wire although there was quite a lot of dog poo there as the cottages allow dogs and some people obviously did not clean up after their dogs, rather unpleasant when it is supposed to be a children's play area. Wifi was excellent and kitchen very well equipped . I would thoroughly recommend this cosy house as the location and views are brilliant and we loved coming home to it at the end of a fun day out.

Beachcombers Lodge. Balcony door did not lock. Asked to have fixed. Website photos very deceiving as balcony furniture was actually rotten. Manager unhelpful and was clearly unhappy to be interrupted from his surfing lesson. Said he would call locksmith but instead came back while we were out and screwed the door permanently shut so we could not access the balcony we had paid for. Let himself in twice with universal key code without notifying us and did not keep us informed about what was going on ! To make matters worse the manager replaced rotten furniture on last day with plush suite but again locked the door so we could not use. Sent letter of complaint upon arrival home but letter was ignored. Unsafe car park for small children as sheer drop to main road with no barrier and incredibly steep incline on drive was useless for disabled mother. Manager said we were paying for the view. Not helpful. Very disappointing.

we stayed for 4 nights in Lane Cottage, a little private cottage near the main property. The accommodation had all the essentials, 2 bedrooms so could sleep 4, was very clean and tidy and had an absolutely stunning view across the valley, over Morgan Porth and to the sea. A perfect stay and we will definitely be back!
