We visited Cornwall to celebrate a big birthday. The room/suite (Scalloper Suite) was spacious, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The view from the room was stunning & we felt very relaxed here. Andrea and Simon were very welcoming, considerate, friendly but unobtrusive. The complimentary bucks fizz breakfast on birthday morning was much appreciated!! They gave us some good recommendations about local attractions which was also appreciated. All in all, a very special and welcoming place to celebrate a memorable birthday.
We stayed in the Scalloper Luxury Suite - truly luxury and spacious with amazing uninterrupted bay views (the sunrise every morning was breath taking) and we have never slept so well away from home in huge comfy bed. The room and whole property were extremely clean and COVID safe. Andrea and Simon are fabulous hosts - friendly, welcoming and gave great advice, both before our stay in where to eat, to pre book and during our stay on where to go and what to see on our day trips. The breakfasts were fantastic - Andreas granola and Simons cooked breakfast were the best we have had anywhere and set you up for the day. The room service drinks were also a welcome end to every day and the cooler in the room for milk meant any bottles not drunk could be kept cool for later. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.…
Truly amazing property offering fantastic views. Perfect host’s in Andrea &Simon.Simon’s breakfast was absolutely brilliant 5star .My wife and I would strongly recommend a stay at Pebble House and we wouldn’t hesitate to return at some point.
Wonderful location and stunning views, hosts Simon and Andrea made the stay even more complete in these trying times, approachable, friendly and fantastic food, would definitely recommend. Short walk into Mevagissey where's there's great bars and restaurants.
A year has passed since we were last at Pebble House and you might ask why write another review? Change happens and never more so in the past 20 months, so here we go. Let’s start with feeling safe in these somewhat unpredictable times. Without any hesitation whatsoever we can say that we felt as “safe” as we do at home. The owners, Simon and Andrea, have gone to great lengths to ensure that the rooms remain as luxurious and inviting as ever whilst reducing infection risk as far as possible. Contact between guests is minimised and clear guidance and instructions are provided before, during and after your stay. The property, we stayed in Long Liner, a room at the top of the house (choose Scalloper room if you don’t like stairs). The room is large and airy, with an uber- comfy super-king bed. Two fabulous armchairs and a giant coffee table are placed in front of giant glass doors with a fabulous view (photo attached) that simply beg you to sit and watch the seagulls wheeling above the constantly changing seascape - sunrise is glorious! Back to the room, plenty of storage space available including a mass of hangers in a wardrobe with the capacity for even the most discerning of travellers. Facilities for making tea and coffee are available, but, like everything at Pebble House, quality rules, from the quality of the kettle to the tea temples and designer coffee bags. The bathroom - HUGE! Everything you could want with oodles of space. Towels are bug and fluffy, comfy white towelling bathrobes are there to snuggle into too. What makes Pebble House a joy is that it reflects the unique style and demanding standards of its owners. Every room I’d different but all are special. We stayed for three nights but would have happily extended our stay. Breakfasts are nothing short of superb and easily set you up for the whole day! Don’t miss Andrea’s granola and/or Simon’s cooked masterpieces. Budget, OK this is not the cheapest option in Mevagissey but it is a true reflection of the adage, you get what you pay for!…
