Great hotel, host’s can not do enough for you, breakfasts fresh local ingredients and very tasty, we enjoyed the evening meal which was fish cakes - home made - the crème brûlée was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I have eaten crème brûlée’s in many places including Michelin restaurants. Rooms light and airy, some great views - an absolutely lovely stay
On arrival we were greeted by the owner Tamsin and she was so bubbly and helpful, she showed us around and explained everything, even offering to carry our bags. We entered our room and what a room spacious and airy. The view from the balcony was fantastic the views were stunning. Everything in the room was to the highest quality the tea and coffee tray was excellent. Dinner was outstanding and fresh the starters were brilliant the mains out of this world and desserts to die for. The steak was one of if not the best steak I have ever had what a great chef. We later found out it was the owner Wes. Breakfast we had in our room on the first day and the quality of the ingredients freshness and temperature was superb, the same great quality again as we had breakfast in the restaurant the next day. The owners(Tamsin and Wes)and the staff, are really customer focus and make for the perfect stay, nothing is to much trouble We will definitely return and tell our friends Thanks for making our 25 wedding anniversary stay a really enjoyable stay.…
Do not hesitate to book this hotel. Attention to detail mean that all aspects of what is required for an enjoyable stay are in place. Lovely fresh food cooked to a very high standard, our room was fresh very clean with a very comfortable bed and staff are helpful, cheerful and friendly. As has been said before in these revues it is not possible to find a negative, we can confirm it is a hidden gem.
I can’t fault this hotel , everywhere is spotlessly clean , the decor is clean and fresh and nicely decorated, the room is excellent and so too is the cleanliness of the room it’s self , the staff are all excellent and it seems nothing is too much trouble especially for the owners ( such lovely people ) , we ate in one night this was so nice , all freshly cooked and well presented and well priced , some nice touches that we wasn’t expecting was a complimentary cream tea when we arrived and a box of chocolates in the room! , if ever we are heading for Mevagissey again we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to book here again ! and also I would recommend this hotel to anyone else , well done everyone!
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May just before the Jubilee celebrations. The hotel is run by Tam (front of house) and her husband Wes (Chef) and their brilliant team. The hotel was spotless and peaceful and the food was amazing. Evening meals and breakfasts were superb. All the reviews on here talk about Tam and Wes - and once you have stayed you will understand why. If I could give more stars I would. Thanks for a great few days - we will be back.
Fully deserving of their number 1 status, this is just a delight from top to bottom, with the hugely warm welcome and cheery demeanour of owners and staff being infectious. Lovely, comfortable clean rooms, one of the best breakfasts we’ve experienced on our extended tour of the South West and a great dinner in the restaurant. Thanks you for a relaxing nights stay and well done, you have a great place, team and ethos.
We have just spent three nights at the Tremarne Hotel, which was one of our holiday highlights. Wes and Tam run this spotless, comfortable, friendly hotel, they cannot do enough for you. Offering cream teas on arrival is also a very nice touch. Our room was spotless, with a garden and sea view, the bed very comfortable and the thick fluffy towels pure white, Wes is the resident chef, we had dinner on our first night which was most enjoyable, the breakfasts were always good with a good choice of cooked and fresh produce. Tam has such a sunny personality nothing is too much trouble for her. They are also very knowledgeable about the local area and can advise on sightseeing and the local amenities. I highly recommend this hotel and wish this hard working couple every success, with a huge thank you from us.…
We have just come back from a three day break in this gorgeous fishing village and a stay at the Tremarne! Tam and Wes have a beautiful hotel which is definitely worth a visit. The hotel is spotless, the staff are every bit as welcoming and friendly as Tam and Wes and the breakfasts are a very good start to the day! We were lucky enough to be able to have an evening meal on our first night and it was lucky that Wes has a break for a couple of nights or we might not have ventured anywhere else for dinner! The meal was very good and service excellent! Everything about the hotel is superb value and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We would thoroughly recommend.
We chose Tremarne for an overnight stay after reading reviews. The whole experience lived up to our expectations and exceeded them. We had dinner at Tremarne and my courgette soup and steak were superb. It really is pointless listing all the great attributes - there is nothing not to like. Wes and Tam are hard working, cheerful and very capable - if we have any reason to be in the vicinity we will not hesitate to stay there again. Go.....
Fantastic Hotel hosts so friendly and great deal of attention to make it a lovely break. Clean rooms with added extras. Cream tea on arrival. Food was amazing and all staff so friendly. Lovely position to walk to Mevagissey and then plenty relaxing areas to enjoy a drink. Can’t rate this Hotel high enough you won’t be disappointed can’t wait to return.
