Stopped in the cottage for three nights over the new year break. The location is fantastic being located right on the harbour in amongst the pubs, restaurants and coffee shops - perfect for bringing in the new year with family as the locals are so friendly. The room was perfectly clean and the staff very friendly. Excellent value for money...

Arrived at the pub, having prebooked via Expedia. No one in and a sign saying "pub closed", as in for the winter. Eventually found a side door open and went in but no staff. Telephoned and someone said they'd come back. Half hour later, no apology, and it would appear that they're trying to run a guesthouse over a freezing...

Stayed overnight as we were visiting The Eden Project the next day - the room was small but very clean and cosy with a view of the harbour. Hot shower and cosy bed just what we wanted. The staff were lovely - and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was great - had a good stay - will...

I stayed at The Wheelhouse with 5 colleagues for a leaving do/Christmas bash. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Fantastic value for money at this time of year. I intend to come back with my family as it is a great location and is very suitable for families. Thank you for looking after us!

We wanted a long weekend break into half term which a lot of other cottages would not allow (too a short booking!)This was perfect! Cosy living room, kitchen new and fully equip with two bedrooms (one with a double bed...

On arrival not even a hello. No "good morning" or smiles from staff and uninterested. Catalogue of issues and very slow service as chef seemed to spend more time out the side near bins chatting whilst customers complained about slow service. Such a shame as nice old building in great location...could be great place with different staff.

Super fish and moules.....the sauces wholly let down the pasta and the moules......very disappointing. Attention needed in this area would lift the food to being very good. Monday night may be a bad night but we are only visiting for a week.
