Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is our second stay at East Crinnis holiday park. We stayed last year and loved it so much we booked again for this year. My parents stayed in one of the log cabins and myself and my 14 year old twins stayed on pitch 37 in our tent. The pitch is large and has a hedge around it so you get your own plot. The toilets are always clean and the showers are as nice and warm as you’d get at home. The shop stocks most things you’d need for your stay but there is a large Tesco a few minutes away. The shack serves pizzas, burgers etc too and coffees and hot chocolate. The staff are always welcoming and eager to chat and give advice. Carlyon bay is a 20minute walk away and the Eden project 6 mins in the car. If you’d like a quiet campsite, with a slower pace of life, where there’s no noise after 10.30pm, this is the campsite for you. On a Wednesday evening there’s live music too. We will be back to stay. It’s the best campsite I’ve stayed on for a long time.

Stayed at East Crinnis for 7 nights in august, lovely little campsite for families. Pitches well kept and a few that offer decent amount of privacy! Staff exceptionally friendly (probably the friendliest staff we have ever come across on our travels) lovely little shop/takeaway on site everything really reasonably priced! Toilet/shower facilities kept really clean for a campsite (luxury toilet paper) washing up areas also nice and clean! My girls 12 & 8 loved the little park on site were in there every evening till it closed and made friends. Thought the storytelling by the pond was absolutely brilliant and a real breath of fresh air in comparison to the commercialised and rowdy entertainment offered at other campsites! Overall was very happy with our stay! Would highly recommend

Stayed in Harlyn geodome. Huge space but not enough firewood supplied for wood burner and neighbouring tent was too close. Staff were very friendly and site is well maintained . Shame we didn't have water supply as smaller geodome next door did. Overall a fun experience but cold at night.

This is a very good campsite, situated in a great location for days out with the family. The staff are really nice and helpful, the site is really well looked after. The shower and toilets are cleaned on a regular basic, we would highly recommend a stay here

The site itself is clean and reasonably well looked after. It has a well supplied shop with a little playground for the children and efforts are made at providing entertainment if that’s something you’d enjoy. The pitches are a reasonable size and the hedges around most provide a good degree of privacy. All of these plus points are undone, however by the fact that, during our stay at least, it was a noisy site. Drunken shouting and singing, and music playing throughout the day and night was the norm rather than the exception. We had to make a complaint of three nights out of the six we stayed. People have remarked upon the road noise, I have to say this would have been far preferable were we able to listen to it over the thumping bass music of our neighbours. The response we received to one particular complaint made the situation worse. At 1030 one evening having been listening to a drunken group singing along to their amplified music as loudly as they could manage for an hour we called the warden who suggested we should have dealt with the matter ourselves and that this level of noise was tolerable until 11pm. We left a day early and although the site management did refund a nights stay and say they would conduct a review of what happened I had to chase the refund and we’ve heard nothing further regarding the review. Not a terrible campsite by any means and if you don’t mind loud music and drunken behaviour most nights then it should be fine for you. I wouldn’t expect the management or wardens to enforce their own policies and I certainly wouldn’t expect a peaceful stay.

Response from Danny Olford, Owner at East Crinnis Holiday Park
Responded 19 Aug 2023
Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us at East Crinnis recently. We are pleased you liked the pitches that provide a degree of privacy and all the extras we put on for families at this time of year, like quiet family evenings such as story telling around a campfire etc. along with the shop and play park. I feel to help readers of your comments understand a true reflection of our site it is important to address your comments regarding noise on site. We are undoubtedly a quiet family campsite, which operates a quiet time from 11pm - 7am every day which we monitor and control through patrols. In terms of noise outside of these times we do not tolerate intrusive noise that is deemed to impact others guests, however we are a campsite that allows guests to have fun, enjoy their stay, sing, watch a movie or play a guitar etc. As we take any complaint extremely seriously we carried out a full review, asking for staff reports and also feedback from guests camping near your pitch. In terms of your complaints made we felt at no stage the noise levels were over the top or disrespectful to other guests. The first night we believe you were complaining about music we could hear off site from the beach which finished around 10:15pm, which can be heard on a still summers night. The second night we were unsure what you were referring to as we couldn't identify a problem and on the third night you were refrying to a family group of mixed age ranging from 3 years to 76 years, occasional singing together listening to background music. The warden responding to this complaint at 10:30pm deemed this to be satisfactory and simply asked had you mentioned anything to the group and then you responded very aggressively telling him to get out of his sight now! The warden simply did not want this to escalate and walked away and at 11pm the alleged noisy family opposite you had all gone to bed for the night. To complete this review we were lucky that next door to your pitch, was a family who were returning to us for their 4th stay. They concluded that evening 'we could occasional hear some singing, but this is a campsite what do people expect'. They also informed us they return to us because we are such a safe, quiet and relaxed site for their young family. To finally address your final comment about enforcing our policies; staff and management all live on site and we constantly listen and monitor noise making us a popular campsite with families who return year on year. In short we are quiet and do not tolerate loud music or accept single sex groups that could potentially cause problems on site making for a peaceful relaxing environment for all to enjoy. We are simply not a campsite for you and actually wonder if you are a regular camper at all?? We do not put up with guests acting aggressively to our staff, so would not welcome you back to our site and would recommend for your own future holiday experiences a self catering stay in private, non attached dwelling.

We had a lovely few days camping here. A small lovely site run by the sweetest team of people who understand how to make people feel welcomed and at home. The site is really close to everything we needed..we visited two nearby beaches (Par is always lovely and a few minutes away), The Eden Project, Heligan and made use of the next door Kidzworld on the wettest day! There are shops and supermarkets really near if you need them-we didn’t but did use the site shop which does cracking pizzas, coffee, icecream etc. as well as essentials for your stay. We loved the playground, story night and the Fairy Trail-unfortunately too wet for the live music but hopefully we’ll catch it next year! The facilities are great-hot showers and good little kitchen areas. Loved the touch of a microwave it saved me a night’s cooking! Would highly recommend this place-thanks for a lovely time :)

As soon as I greeted, everyone was so friendly and helpful, gave us all the information and more. The site itself has good size pitches, great cleaning facilities and more and the breakfast was great. We went to an Eden sessions gig and again, there's a bus that runs, but it is only a couple.of mile walk if needed.

If you’re looking for a campsite local to the Eden project and some great beaches with easy access to main motorways. This campsite is for you. It was super clean, very helpful and very welcoming. The layout is great with multiple other options for glamping and rentals on top of the tent / camping pitches we stayed in. We arrived late, the Marshall numbers left for us were very quick to answer and externally helpful and friendly when they came over to show us to our plot. They have some great advice on where to go and what’s about. The campsite itself is very tidy and well maintained and the toilet facilities are very clean and appeared to be regularly cleaned whilst I was on site. Our 2 days visit, was great. We went down for an Eden sessions to see YUNGBLUD. The Eden project was 7 minutes away and for the concert had a bud that pulled over for us on the way back, right at the end of the street. Thank you for the team, who assisted with responding to my email and the team on site. Great service, would stay again!

Out family stayed here for 10 nights from the 4th of June 2023. Between us we had an electric pitch, two non electric and also the lodge for our grandparents. All of us were very impressed with the campsite and the facilities there, the site is very quiet and is very well sheltered with each pitch having a hedge either side. The Grandparents were pleased with the log cabin and how well equipped it was. The facilities were kept clean and tidy, a bonus on this site was the use of a public freezer which you could use for freezer packs and also a microwave available for use if needed. Myself and my cousin enjoyed playing the garden sized chess of an evening.
