Stayed here as visiting a customer in the area. Paid a very reasonable price, the rooms are a bit dated but clean, the food in the bar was freshly cooked and hand prepared, staff were friendly. Just be careful following sat nav from the A30 as it's not easy to find. The lane it is down looks like to goes... More

Stayed here last night on business with several colleagues, the receptionist was very friendly and joined in with our banter - great start! Booked a table for 12 at the pub/restaurant which is 30 yards from the hotel, it had a fabulous feel to it. They served all the Cornish beers, lagers and ciders which is always a thumbs up.... More

We booked for two nights and had a wonderful time. The room was lovely clean and fresh. The breakfast had plenty to chose from and a full English if required. The area the hotel is situated in is lovely and peaceful with the Pub close at hand to chose from a well stocked bar and a wonderful food menu, cooked... More

We booked this place at very short notice (6hrs) but by the time we arrived everyone was expecting us and gave us a great welcome (despite putting us in the wrong room, but that made no difference). All the staff we very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fast and hot and well cooked. So, good food, good place but above... More

We chose Trickys due to its location which was good as it gave easy access to other sights nearby. The hotel is tired looking and room was quite stuffy. As we stayed over a weekend, Saturday night was noisy due to a wedding taking place. This also resulted in us being served breakfast in the on site pub, not a... More

It is similar to a Travel lodge but instead of being situated next to a Little Chef it's a short walk away from the Pub. The rooms are quite dated with their decor and are in need of a refresh, the bathrooms are "wet rooms" so you would be upset if you wanted a long soak in the bath. The... More

Having not known the area or booked this myself, I had no idea what I was in for. Let's just say I spent the night sleeping with my cardigan as my duvet on top of the covers, trying my best to mask the smell of the carpets. Obviously a smoking room in the past, carpets not been changed. Very much... More
